  1. Prayers coming from your neighbors in Campbellsville. May the Lord put his protective hands around this young man.
  2. Same schedule as last year. Play LCA in opener this year. Opened with Frankfort last year. The rest is exactly the same.
  3. CAMPBELLSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL 2008 SCHEDULE: Week #1 - @ Lexington Christian Week #2 - Taylor Co. Week #3 - Lynn Camp Week #4 - @ Green Co. Week #5 - @ Clinton Co. Week #6 - @ Danville Week #7 - @ Williamsburg Week #8 - @ Marion Co. Week #9 - OPEN Week #10 - McCreary Co. Week #11 - Glasgow Pretty tough in its own right.....
  4. No, I got involved when you used Campbellsville High School in context to being easier. It is all relative. But I assure you, Campbellsville is no easy win in Class A, just like Belfry, Mason, Russell and Breathitt are not easy wins in their respective class. I am saying it is all relative.
  5. Easy ???? The difference in 1A and 5A is numbers, not talent. You all combined a couple 1A schools and made a 5A school. What was it Cumberland, Cawood, and Everts? How did those teams do in Class A last year? If my memory serves me correct EKUAlum, every one of those 1A teams you listed made a deeper run than those three combined. The difference is numbers, not talent.....................
  6. The RB this year should be Thomas Downs. He is 6'2 220 and can run. Needs to mature some but has the tools to carry on a strong running game. McCubbin (#24) will get some carries as he is the best athlete on the team. Zach Altman (#8) will also touch the ball from the backfield spot.
  7. Campbellsville will have 9 players on both sides of the ball returning to their starting roles for 2008. The district championship last year was the first in 10 years and was good experience for the young Eagles. A few observations: * C-Ville will have 14 seniors this year. They must lead this team through a VERY difficult schedule that includes LCA, Danville, Glasgow, Green County, and a district that will be one of the better in Class A. * Up front ( O-Line and D-Line ) the Eagles must get tougher. They are big and strong but have a tendency to be tooooo nice. * The passing game must mature again this year. With the running game in solid shape, the Eagles must be able to take advantage of crowding defenses. Expectations are high in the Nation and the players have worked hard this off-season. But, Coach Wiseman continues to tell them the same thing: "GOOD IS THE ENEMY OF GREAT"
  8. PERHAPS TOUGHER IN 2008: Campbellsville - Only lost 2 seniors off last years team. They are a year older but so is everyone else in the district. Get to host Lynn Camp this year, but must travel 2 1/2 hours to Williamsburg for district games. Also goes to Clinton Co. Williamsburg - Lose their outstanding RB, but return all other weapons of their VERY potent passing attack. Get both Lynn Camp and Campbellsville at home for big district games. In my opinion, the team to watch. Lynn Camp - Lose Roskopft, but return a defense that really flies to the ball. Always a BIG group of hard-nosed players that will fight to the end. People should be careful not to overlook this bunch. They are dangerous and well coached. Clinton Co. - Will be better and returns their hoss RB. Look for Clinton Co. to be more involved in the district race. Can't wait for this year. It will be exciting for sure...... More Later.
  9. GLADIATOR 300 SCARFACE ( W/ Al Pachino ) REMEMBER THE TITANS MENACE TO SOCIETY COOL HAND LUKE No way to name all the one's you need to see to get caught up. Here is a start.....
  10. Campbellsville High School 2008 Schedule 8-30 Lexington Christian Academy @ LCA Bowl 9-5 Taylor Co. Home 9-12 Lynn Camp Home 9-19 @ Green Co. 9-26 @ Clinton Co. 10-3 @ Danville 10-10 @ Williamsburg 10-17 @ Marion Co. 10-24 OPEN 10-31 McCreary Co. Home 11-7 Glasgow Home
  11. Hot Dogs on the grill (only way I will eat them), bun, piece of cheese, Miricle Whip, Hot Sauce. TAKE A BITE..................
  12. Than accept the sphere of influence proposel that was rejected by the private schools. That would limit the area of recruitment for those schools and make the compitition more level. And THEN, we could work on setting the bar together.......
  13. Campbellsville travels over 2 hours to all away district games: To Lynn Camp > 2 hours and 10 minutes To Williamsburg > 2 hours and 25 minutes To Clinton Co > 2 hours
  14. All the talk on the ALL A baseball and not one word about Campbellsville. That is OK though, we like to travel under the radar. :thumb:
  15. Cowards? I think it is hilarious to listen to people like you panic......
  16. And allowing a person who steals a childs soul from them to continue to breath makes sense. Personally, I feel that is REASON enough on the deciding factor. Send him across the river Styx.......But we can agree to disagree..:thumb:
  17. How ,then, do you protect that child of thoughts of that person still being alive on this planet? What if it were your child? I have a hard time with this..
  18. Than what is the reason SO MANY DO sign LOI ?
  19. No way one pitcher could sweep the 20th district. Not to say anything other than these kids have been playing against each other since Little Leauge. They have all seen each other so many times, one arm can't get it done. But I do like the build up to the last week of district play with something still on the line. No big deal though, I am pulling for Williamsburg. Go Jackets.......
  20. They play ball all summer. One wrong step or fall and you kiss a $200,00.00 scollay good bye.
  21. Kids sign LOI because that is their insurance policy. If they sustain a serious injury, 99.9% of college's will still honor the scolarship. The other .1% would be crucified in the court of public opinion if they did not honor it.
