Roenker pitches complete game. Smith goes 5 for Beechwood and gets the loss. Elliot releived in the 6th after men were on 2nd & 3rd. Hit batsman with the bases loaded brings in the winning run.

I think we can officially say that Holy Cross is the real deal this year. Nice win and apparently a phenominal pitching performance by Roenker. Heaven forbid when this young man is a senior - he will be untouchable.

Way to go Andy, keep it up!

WOW....looks like HC and Conner really want it. Apparently NCC is playing well enough to advance in the All A.

Roenker seems to be the real deal! Does anyone know his pitching stats so far this season?

All A championship game Thursday, April 10th 5pm at Morscher Field.

NewCath vs. Holy Cross. Winner to advance to play 10th region winner for a trip to Applebees field.

Good Luck to the Breds!

No Beechwood at "All A State". I thought they were the favorite.......

Owensboro Catholic, I think is favorite. They walk to the finals as will LexChristian.

Walk to the Finals? Cool, love to hear that kind of talk.

Just wondering if there are any excuses that will be posted here by the Beechwood fans, still waiting.

Nice performance by Roenker, he seems like a tireless worker and perfectionist. Im sure he is on cloud 9.

Holy Cross out played them but Trent Pickett should have tagged up at 3rd but didn't and cost the tigers a run, but that would have only tied it.

I don't think that would have made a big difference because he does more positives than negitaves for the team and he was safe at the plate later anyways but called out (bad call).

He should have tagged up the we would not be hearing about the bad call.

I thought there are rules about comments like this on here .Trying to get trouble started are you ?

Congrats to HC ! Hopefully they make it to Applebees and beat O-Cath .Sorry but have to go with the hometown team .

I agree, that was a bone-head mistake and it may have been the play that cost the tigers the game. Another thing you question is having Smith go out for the 6th inning. Anybody know his pitch count? I am sure it was pretty high.
