  1. Trinity over X for the 2005 Class AAAA Championship
  2. Somerset plays Beth Haven in the first round of the All A Classic and I was just wondering if anyone could provide me with any information on this team. Such as Player abilities, team style, quality wins, and other information of this type. I would greatly appritiate it!
  3. The school system is in the process of setting up an indoor baseball facility that will be equipped with pitching machines, batting cages, pitchers mounds, and alot more for the baseball AND softball team to use. This project should be completed by the start of the baseball season. This will take away from the problem of more than one sports accessing the facilitys of another sport
  4. We are allowed to access the football fieldhouse so we can use the batting cages that are inside to hit. We are also able to pitch inside the fieldhouse.
  5. Nathan Bray didnt play football
  6. At Somerset, Coach Grundy will allow the football players to attend the spring practices and he will also try his best to schedule the baseball practices around the spring football practices.
  7. What about Somerset? Everyone forgets how good they are when it comes to class a?
  8. Somersets JV team played Clinton during the season and we were informed that Clinton County would indeed field a varsity team for the first time next year. Not sure on what class they would be in or anything like that though.
  9. What are everyones thoughts and predictions on this one? Danville won the earlier meeting my 5 or 6 points if my memory serves me correctly. Will Somerset having won the last 5 meetings to go to richmond have any affect on the outcome of this game?
  10. Is what i'm hearing way off? Or am i just lacking the important details of the matter?
  11. I can't say whether this is 100% correct, but from the way that people keep talking about it, i would say that this had the biggest impact on Fraleys stepping down. Dealing with two cancers like that can give anyone health problems
  12. I have heard some stories from different people of what has happend at PC, the story that i am hearing over and over again is when John Perkins recieved his 5th foul in the Southwestern game, that one of the SW coaches supposedly said something to him, and as we all can guess, he decided to jaw back to him and unfortunately for him people heard so he was forced to be benched for a game. As for Ty, its a mystery that we will probably never know!
  13. Joshua Mack from University Heights Academy is a tough player. Lasy year as a junior he pretty much single handedly beat Somerset in the finals of the All "A" Classic in Richmond. I would say that he has to be one of the top 3 or 4 candidates for Mr. Basketball this year.
  14. How do you think this years Jumpers will be can they repeat District and Region crowns?
  15. Big article in this mornings Commonwealth Journal. Couldn't find a link to the story online, but the paper said that he decided to step down due to Heath Issues. And it went on to say that he didnt have any immediate heath problems at this time, but he had some major heath concerns. I've also heard from multiple sources that two of Fraley's Players have decided to transfer after basketball season. The same two havent been to practice since the PC VS SWHS basketball game.
  16. While i agree that Pugh is a very good athlete, last year in the regional championship game against Somerset he wasn't that big of a factor as everyone thought including Somerset thought he would be. I guess you can contribute alot of that success to Somerset's D but if you can pressure him out of the pocket and have quick d-linemen and linebackers he could be in for a long night much like he was against Somerset. That's just what i saw though I'll agree he is a dandy!
  17. No, they still use the fieldhouse just as they have been for the last 6 or 7 years. As a player i dont think that coach cobb has any problem letting the baseball team use the fieldhouse
  18. The Sports Den in Somerset is really good and they are Cheap too!
  19. Somerset spent alot of money last year to remodel their baseball field. It doesnt really look that different but they had a new pressbox built. Here in a few weeks they are going to start constructing an indoor batting facility in the vacant lot beside the field.
  20. What if a player has long hair, and has to keep his hair inside his helment, but on the previous play, the player was hit, and his hair got into his eyes, would he be flagged for taking it off in between plays while in the huddle to get the hair out of his eyes?
  21. This game is being played at the Wigwam. Somerset won the first meeting 53-39. I think that if you take away from thier perimeter shooting they arent that great. Somersets offense is really starting to come around. Im going with Somerset in this one. Somerset-65 SWHS-53
  22. Josh has some major wheels. He used to workout with the SHS baseball team at the baseball academy, The Strike Zone. I could see him just being a pinch runner in the league. It would work for me, because you would still make a ton of money.
  23. I figured that he might get his chance when Biggio Retires.. Which as we all know will be soon
  24. I think that Josh will have the best shot of getting to play in the big leagues out of everyone else.
  25. I knew he didnt play any, but didnt he dress a few games with the Royals?
