Does anybody have any information on the 2007 alignment? When will the draft come out? Will it be 6 Classes?

I've been trying to figure it out myself. What will be important to determine is whether the startup schools (Jackson County, Gallatin County and Clinton County are the ones I know of) are planning on fielding varsity teams (and possibly competing in district play) in 2007.

Somersets JV team played Clinton during the season and we were informed that Clinton County would indeed field a varsity team for the first time next year. Not sure on what class they would be in or anything like that though.

Clinton County will be in Class A, but their presence could bump a couple of teams up in class.

Jackson County I would think would be 2A, but it could be close, they played in the All A this past year, as did Middlesboro for that matter. Class A District 7 will also be losing Evarts and Cumberland, so it will be interesting what the new district will look like.

Actually, Clinton Co has played varsity ball before, but it hasn't been since I was in junior high. I believe that either 1973 or 1974 was their last until now. ;):D

I have heard that Powell Co. would be moving up to 3A. Anyone got some facts or info on that?

Will Holmes be dropping from 4A to 3A? Also, will 2007 be the year that Pendleton Cty finally joins the NKY 3A district?

Holmes will be dropping to 3A!

Will the Public/Private School debate take precedence over the Class Re-alignment? If so, is it possible that the re-allignment won't take place?

I hope that Powell does not go to AAA, They had it rough in AA. The football program does not APPEAR to be supported like it should be. I now that when we travel to play there we have more fans than they do. Does the school have the numbers to go AAA? If they do where are they?? Just wondering. I hope the best for Powell Co. Their announcer for the football games is the most enthusiastic announcer we have seen.

"Thats another first down for POWELL COUNTY!!!!!". That dude rocks.

What is a alignment.

What is a alignment.
It's a mechanical thing with cars. The front wheels on cars tend to get out of line and you have to take your car to a front end shop to have it aligned. This spring is when everyone gets their front ends aligned for 2007. :dancingpa
