  1. I was told that the school had a new policy because of the excessive Techinical Fouls that they recieve. The policy states that if you have one technical foul that you have to sit a game. Two gets you a week on the bench, and if you recieve a third technical you must sit for a month. If your wondering why Ty doesnt have to sit for a month, it is because Pulaski Principal Mike Deaton didnt put the rule into effect until after the problems that he saw during the Somerset/Pulaski game.
  2. They all have decent speed, some just lack the control that they need at the high school level. I think with Grundy's MLB pitching experiance that this could be fixed rather quickly. I look foward to watching this sophmore class play in the years to come.
  3. Could you please post a JV schedule for Danville. What teams did they play this year, and how bad did they win each game.
  4. You make a good point, and, No i dont belive that they do have a pitcher that can match up with either of them next year.
  5. I belive that Somerset only has two seniors on the team in Andy Cole and Matt Salmons. As far as pitching goes, They have Jordan Molen-JR, Adam Wallen-SO, Chris Fitzpatrick-SO, Corey Price-SO, Kenny Hughes-SO, Jeremy Toohey-FR, and Scott Spears-FR. This could be one of the more premier pitching staffs in the state in the next years. It just seems to me that they are awfully young.
  6. I enjoyed the Cumberland Fall Pigskin Classic last year at Corbin. The field was in excellent shape and they had a microphone hooked up to the referee so he could give his calls over the loudspeaker.
  7. I think alot of people have underestimated Danville thus far. In all honesty number 22 Daniel Perron was really a one man wrecking crew and was the difference in the game. I would say that he had anywhere from 28-35 points in this contest.
  8. You have to have Nathan Holton from Somerset in this list. He is averaging 20 points plus for the Jumpers this year.
  9. How do you think Somerset will fare in the 12th Region this year? I'm not sure on what they have returning, i know they will be young, but how young are they?
  10. Danville's Daniel Perron can throw down pretty hard.. Also Harrodsburg has a kid thats 5'10 or 5'11 that can throw down with ease.. When Somerset played Harrodsburg earlier in the year, he won the tip over 6'5 Nathan Holton from Somerset.
  11. Yeah i just got back from the game.. He single handedly beat us.. we were up the entire first half.. but in the first quarter they ran an oop to him that he threw down hard...why did he leave Bryan Station?
  12. The word on Andy is that he may be ready to go by District Tournament time during baseball season. I dont think he even has had surgery yet. If im not mistaken, his sergery is scheduled for January 24th.
  13. Does anyone have any information on the transfer from Bryan Station that plays basketball? Height, abilities, etc..Not sure but i think his last name is pierre or something like that. I would appretiate it!
  14. John Cole started at one guard Chip Clay started at the other guard Ray Norman and Corey Price started at the foward spots Nathan Holton started at Center for the Jumpers John is filling in for Eric Wilson, and Corey got the starting nod when Andy Cole went down with a torn ACL against Russell County earlier in the season
  15. Couldn't have said it better myself!!!
  16. It looked to me like he elbowed Deaton in the back of the head, and then when he realized that there was no foul called on the play, and while Deaton was laying motionless on the floor he decided to take some anger out on a former teammate and dive on him. I am also tired of watching these two play, particularly the younger one! The referees almost seemed scared to call anything on either one of the Perkins brothers. I look foward to playing them again come february!
  17. Final in Overtime. Any thoughts from anyone who was able to attend the game? Late in the overtime period Pulaski had a technical foul called that sealed the game for the Jumpers. Ray Norman had a big night as he finished with 26 points and Nathan Holton threw in 19 for the Briar Jumpers.
  18. In the 12th Region Somerset has a tough defense. Earlier in the year they held the high powered Southwestern Offense to 39 points. Although the offense hasnt came around yet. The Defensive side of the ball is where they are strong.
  19. What are everyones thoughts and predictions on this District Seed game? The game is at the Patch and Somerset should have the advantage. With this being said, i Somersets stingy defense is the turning point of this game Somerset-48 Pulaski-35
  20. Still when talking about stats Deaton's numbers imo are still better plus anyone who can lead their team to a District, region, and state semi section berth is way better thats just me congradts to all who made it
  21. How good was Deangelo Durham from danville? I've always heard good things about that kid, anyone have any info about him?
  22. True, i didnt think about it that way..
  23. How does Nick Scalf win the QB of the year award over Somerset's Ross Deaton? Just curious because imo, Deaton had a much better year than Scalf.
