Hearing the same thing and that Boyle looked the part in spring ball. Who's the running back for this upcoming season? Adryan Newell? Boyle looks to be loaded everywhere else on offense. Defense got most of the team back. Kicker and punter is back. Boyle should be a very strong team to knock out this season.

For Boyle I'll go.... 1. 2024 Just heartbreaking loss to Cov Cath in the 3rd. round! 2. 2019 Lost in the Championship to Johnson Central 3. 1997 & 1996 - 97 team beat the 2A State Champion Bourbon County 33-0 earlier in the season and lost to them on a muddy field in the playoffs. That game helped push for a turf field! IMO This team started the Boyle dynasty along with the 96 team that lost to Breathitt County in the semi's. 4. 2018 Semi final loss at Corbin

Larry was a winner and won everywhere he went. Boyle won 5 State titles under Chuck Smith and he retired. Most said that was the end to the Boyle dynasty and after a losing season Coach French was hired in 2008 and brought Boyle back to top in his first season with a 17-15 semi-final loss on Log mountain to eventual State Champion Bell County. Boyle ended at 13-1. The following 2 seasons 2009 and 2010 Boyle went 30-0 with 2 State Titles. His first 3 seasons Coach French coached Boyle to a 43-1 record. Larry French was a true role model that any parent would love to have coach their sons!

I really want Pope to work out at UK. I really like him but coaching today with the portal and NIL has really changed college basketball. Paying JQ all that NIL money and what they got for it IMO was all on Pope. I think the team chemistry was bad this past season. Rumors had it a couple of players got in a fight before the Louisville game. UK has some good wins but it was the BAD LOSSES like Louisville, North Carolina, Michigan State, Gonzaga, Florida, Iowa State and coming out slow every week that was disappointing.

Rall, Stewart, and French all three I looked up to and where great role models for young kids.

For me it's a tie between the 2001 and 2020 Boyle County football team. 2001 football team coming off 2 straight state titles was suppose to be the year Boyle was to come back to earth by moving up a class to 3A in the old 4 class system playing with the likes of Highlands, Covington Catholic, Bowling Green, Paducah Tilghman, and Hopkinsville. All Boyle did was go 15-0 and win their 3rd. straight championship and first in 3A. 2020 Boyle team coming off the loss of 20+ seniors from 2019 with names of Reese Smith, Rylie Colewick, EZ Roller, Reed Lanter, Landon Bartleson, Wilson Kelly, and couple of others. Also the loss of legendary coaches Chuck Smith and Chris Pardue. Everyone wrote off the 2020 Boyle team. Newly coach Justin Haddix and the dreaded COVID arrived. Boyle went 11-0 and won their 9th. State Title with a overtime come back win over Franklin County in the championship game.

Haddix did lose Mr. Football and a big senior class last year and had to rebuild. Smith-Hisel and Yancy both where back ups and scout team players last year for Boyle and a unknown across the state. Both are now a finalist for Mr. Football and Lineman of the year. Driver was good last year but improved by leaps and bounds this season. Lost his starting QB on a loss to Lexington Catholic and replaced him with a unknown sophomore. All he did was lead the team to a win over Highlands and St. X. By the time Murphy got well it was hard to replace him as the team was playing really well. HUGE shout out to Baylor Murphy for being a team player and doing what ever it took by playing on kickoffs or as a WR. SO happy to see him with a passing TD at State! No one was expecting Boyle to come out of 4A this season. Even was pre-season ranked #4 to start and dropped even more after the LC loss. The improvement the team made was one of the best I've seen from any Boyle team in the past. That's all on Coach Haddix.

Congratulations Ji’Dyn Smith-Hisel for making a finalist for Kentucky Mr. Football. The kid made the most of his opportunity after being a scout team back the past 2 years. Good kid that is the meaning of a “Team Player”. Broke Boyle’s single game rushing record of 440 yards against Covington Catholic in the region championship game. Also congratulations to Darryl Yancey for making a finalist for Lineman of the year. His play in the State Championship game was unbelievable. Multiple sacks and lived in Franklin County’s backfield.

What a amazing job the Boyle's coaching staff has done this season. Nick Mills did a great job this season with the defense. We had Franklin County with -19 yards rushing for the game with 6 sacks. That goal line stop in the 3rd. quarter was a site to see. 4 straight times Boyle stuffed Franklin County at the goal line to keep them out of the endzone and maintain a 14-0 lead. That was a difference maker in the game. Pre Season it was said many times that Boyle will fall back with no Quisenberry on the team. What's Boyle going to do? It's called next man up! JiDyn Smith-Hisel is the true meaning of a team player. Waited his turn as a scout player the past 3 seasons for his chance and did what ever it took to help the team. His last 3 games has been unchartered territory for a Boyle running back and Boyle has had some really good ones back in the day. Smith-Hisel's 440 rushing yards against Covington Catholic was a school record and backed that up with 180 last week and we had him with 208 last night in the State Title game. The Kid is the perfect example of making the most of a opportunity! Seneca Driver is the best player in Kentucky now. Offense, Defense, or blocking it doesn't matter it's 100% at all times. He changed his number to #5 this year for a reason. Duggins, Dawson, and Quisenberry, they all have something in common that he wants badly. Before it's all said and done he will be the most sought out player EVER to wear the Rebel uniform. He pretty much has his choice to go to any university he chooses to attend.
