Why would you let her (Abby Owings #11) stay in the game? She is 5' tall and lucky if she ways 90lbs. Why wouldn't you post her up every time down the floor to make coach Stowers take her out of the game.

With WV you are able to start a varity of different players on any given night to give them an advantage in any game. You have 4 guards that you could start at any given night (Clinkenbeard, Ginn, Slavey and Taulbee) and 3 bigs (Dixon, Judy and Sandlin). Then you have quality subs coming off the bench with Mullikin w/guards and Hoffa w/bigs.

Tough one to call in this one. SK will come to play. The BIG question in this one is guard play with WV having 33 TO in the first game and 20 TO in the second game can the guards handle the pressure that SK is going to bring. If they can our bigs will have a field day down low but we have to be able to get them the ball.

It is a Girls and Boys double header and yes they play at 6:00.

What is the seating capacity at the stadium? The HHS website states tickets only available at the gate.

Provided we take care of business next week I think Christian County gives Highlands a more competitive game than John Hardin would.

I watched the last 8 minutes of the game online and it was very entertaining. Seemed like WC had the game in hand once they got the ball back with about 5 minutes to go and then had a couple nice runs to get the ball down to the 24 but then fell apart. Its like they forgot how to tackle on CC's last drive.

I took the AA down 2 years ago but didn't want any part of driving home those 2 lane roads in the dark. I came back I-75...much better.

Dixie is playing better than they were the first time they played. HHS can't get caught up looking ahead. I think HHS wins but not by as many as some think....HHS 35 Dixie 21

I watch some of it on the web and the JC announcers said right before the half that Scott was one of the better defensive teams that had played. At that point JC only had 12 points.

If we were looking at part of the season I would agree but over the entire schedule the best teams have more wins than losses. How do you figure the strength of schedule without your opponents wins and losses? I agree Anderson is the team to beat but they are a talented team with a very good coach and they have been their before so I do not think it is that much pressure.

I have never seen a girls high school basketball team have a abundance of athletic players on them. We played Anderson last year and lost in the 8th region semi's (46-40) and then we played them this summer and won in overtime. Their PG did miss the game but we did not have Taulbee either. You lost to Shelby County(42-41) and then they lost to SK (69-49) granted Wells got hurt in that game. All that being said, Anderson is the team to beat this year because they are the CHAMPIONS!

Well if you want break down the wins and losses here is South Oldham's wins their opponents were a combined 221 wins and 256 losses (46%) and on the losses, their opponents were a combined 123 wins and 83 losses (.60%). Look, I am just saying that we ALL play in the 8th region and most of our games are against 8th region teams.

You are right about those girls only winning one game. They lost to the Hoyas (lost by 10), Louisville Legends (lost by 9) and Sting (lost by 12). All these teams have the best players from different schools representing them and of the vikings 10 players ( 6 walton girls). They are 3 juniors, 2 sophmores, 1 freshmen, 2 Owen County players ( 1 junior and 1 sophmore) and 2 Connor players ( 2 juniors). They played up at the 16U level to get better. Now one other thing that I totally disagree with is strength of schedule. All I hear is that Walton played a weak schedule last year, so lets state the facts: Anderson's opponents record was .577% from last year Simon Kenton's opponents record was .524% from last year South Oldham's opponents record was .504% from last year Walton's opponents record was .52% from last year So how does everybody keep saying that one or the other has a tougher schedule?

Great job by young Mr. Towles stepping up late in the game and lead a comeback. Didn't get all the way back but this might be the first time he has had to deal with some adversity since becoming a starter. This will add to his maturity as a QB.
