Who wins and why? Boone is going to be a big favorite in this game. This game should be a good measuring stick for Coach Miller and his Bearcats. Good luck to both teams.

This game is an interesting early match up between two very nice teams from different regions, but don't put too much stock in the outcome and how it will impact each team's region performance. Boone is pretty strong and W-V may be still in a period of adjustment due to roster additons. Throw in some opening night jitters, too, and it should be a good one for b-ball fans to watch.

If Walton can contain Moss and the WV guards handle the press, they may be able to keep it close.

so Boone only has 1 girl that would be in the top 6 at Walton?? I admit to not knowing a whole lot about the Boone roster outside of Moss but I find that hard to believe.

Walton has the next best 5? You're crazy. Shrout, Browning, etc. Are way better than anything Walton has. Boone wins by 30. Moss has more than half of what Walton scores. And Coach Fookes gets that much closer to 600!

I will go with Walton in this one. I think the Boone guards will struggle. Walton also has some real nice 3 point shooters. Should be a great Friday night matchup.

I haven't seen Taulbee play, but I can't see her being better than Dixon or Sandlin. I look for both of them to battle it out this year on leading WV in scoring and rebounding.

 

If Taulbee is as good as advertised, then Walton will win. I predict WV 51-47.

Taulbee is a dead eye shooter for sure. But to say she is W-V best player? That would be a bit of a stretch.

In my observations for Walton, Dixon is the real deal. Not to slight the others but she can do so many things well. Score inside or out, rebound, defend and just plays very physical. Taulbee really opens up the inside for Dixon when she is firing in the threes.

 

Don't discount Boones three point shooters either, and Moss is D1 all the way. This has the makings of a great game.

 

This game is listed at 6pm. Can someone verify that is the varsity time for me? I can not make 6pm but I could 730.

 

I predict Boone in a close one.

Dixon is solid and has the stats to back it up, but i believe Taulbee is probably the best player. Only time will tell. Without a doubt Dixon and Taulbee will carry load for Walton this year. These two should be exciting to watch this year. Good luck WV on what should be an exciting year.
