Several Highlands freshmen played in this game, and one of them scored the game's final TD.

The young Birds put on quite a nice show after the Big Birds left the game. Good job guys! Woodford had a couple of real nice plays that went for big yardage. They were outgunned, but fought hard all the way.

Both Hayes and Wrobleski had nice runs, along with Harris. It looked like a typical freshman game for them.

After watching this game I learned the following:

1. Though Jude is a good runner, his state rushing record for a single game is a farce.

2. Highlands will hang 50 points on JC if they play each other.

After what I saw tonight, if Johnson Cnetral allowed 35 points to Woodford this year, I wouldn't stop at 50 Pic. How they allowed 35 to WC is beyond comprehension. If think the Birds could hang 60 on JC.

 

3 pick 6s (New, Bruns, and Austin Bowling), Towles only throws 4 passes, completing all of them, 2 for scores, and the defense was back to swarming around.

Johnson Central struggled with Scott tonight, before putting it away late in the game. It was 12-7 JC at the half.

I watch some of it on the web and the JC announcers said right before the half that Scott was one of the better defensive teams that had played. At that point JC only had 12 points.

...Scott was one of the best defensive teams that they had played.

I'll bet those words are sweet music wafting through this chilly night in Park Hills.
