So you would be giving up scoring ability on the offensive end hoping to gets points off of defense with the above. This is not one of the more athletic or quick teams that CCH has had so the press is not an automatic positive IMO. Can you do it sporadically? Sure but you can't build your game plan around it.

How deep do you think CCH goes? I'd argue its not as deep as traditional CCH teams.

Not really. The natural tendancy is to go towards the ball ie step into the lane. You're dead at that point because all you can do is get it as it comes through the net. Take note at the next game you attend. Rarely will you see the player on the low block step "up the lane" to prevent his man from pushing him under the rim. It will almost always be "into the lane."

I think most coaches would like to see the players moved up the lane on FTs. It appears from the many games that I've watched that no one is teaching the art of blocking out on a FT. Its a simple move but , apparently, its not being taught or not being absorbed.

Solid list, DD. Pitz was more of a slot guy who also would run the ball which is why he ended up playing WR for Dayton. The best pure running back would go to Melvin if I had to vote. Duvall was very good as well.

IMO this is a big game for the Colonels. They are coming off two poor outings and need a shot of confidence. They can't play "just OK and win." They need to make a statement for their own good.

My guess is you will see the Holmes/NDA/HC/BW district at NKU if at all possible. The only other possibility would be if they host it at FOPA.

DD, do you really expect these guys to get hits off of Ryle pitchers? Please. That's why they had to schlep their way through summer league hitting off future D1 pitchers - just to get back on the good side of the ledger. Fortunately, the Ball State coach didn't see Cody go against the Raiders or the kid may just be paying for all of his education in the future.

He was at CCH then went with Coach Schlarman to Campbell County then to Newport. He did coach last year as far as I know.

MSU is in the OVC. They have athletic scholarships unlike Morehead and Dayton for football. Those 2 play in the Pioneer League in the 1-AA Non-Scholarship division.
