BTW it was the first game back by Chris Bondick and some wonder if he would make a difference.

CovCath did press and a little assistance by the continued quality of the 10th region officiating!:madman:

 

Do Not take anything from the Colonels. But anyone who attended this game has to question just what in the world is a charge and the Camel players must learn to stick the free throws when it matters. They do that, they win many of their losses.

 

Camels gave a great effort and deserved the win. Ben Franzen getting knocked over on the in bounds play is one of the worst no calls ever made.

Fact: Coach Mike Listerman has never lost to Campbell County.

Schmerge hits a huge three point shot (only the second three of the game for CovCath) to tie it up in regulation.

 

Grimes finally looked like his old self, and Bondick with only two day's of practice played like he never missed a game.

My opinion only.... the 10th region has never really accepted the teams from the Campbell County area since the day the area was moved in. So having 10 region officials is not an advantage to our area. The best officials in this region rarely show up north of the Pendleton border.

No such thing as 10th Region officials.

 

They are Bluegrass Basketball Officials Association officials - the very same guys that do all of the games in BOTH the 10th and 11th Region. That means that they also do the very top games involving all of the top Lexington games.

Kinda like being the step-child of the region. Anyway, it sounds like it was an exciting game. Would have liked to seen it.

Don't know if the 8th does it, but don't some regions switch off the men in stripes from one region to another, to unsure that the men in charge don't carry any leftover hard feelings into the Regional Tournament.
