Many, outside of the parents and playes, do not realize that individual highlight tapes are also cut from the Team Highlight tape and the game tapes. The individual highlight tape is of the same quality, with mulitple camera angles, music, player highlighting on tape and slow motion editing. I wish I could mention the main camera dude's name, but I might break some rules on BGP. But, he puts in a lot of time and effort for very little $ to help the player continue playing at the next level. The product that is sent to the colleges is above and beyond their own capabilities... HHS parents and players are so very fortunate to have such a dedicated parent! :ylsuper:

Josh will have a shot... unless the Birds travel by air in 2008! If that is the case, then a 35+ touchdown season for Josh will not be likely and a chance at Mr. Kentucky Football will be slim! However, if Josh finds time on the defensive side of the ball and turns in a stellar performance on offense... he just may have a legit shot. Time will tell! :thumb:

The first highlight tape I remember purchasing was Dr. Rick Grover's tape when son Brent was playing. The tape was awesome! Cutting edge graphics for the big hits and tackles... "BAM", "Ouch", "WHACK" - it was like watching a Batman and Robin feature! Don't think it ran anywhere close to 3 hours :creepy:

Trey is going to Murray State University! Going for a great education, a little fishing during the week and some football on the weekends... still working on the package, but look for Trey to be a RACER in the Fall.

The banquet next year will be short in duration... we committed to Dale on Fountain Square Saturday to limiting the highlight tape to 90 minutes! Therefore the banquet should be close to 7.5 hours... This year each touchdown and all offensive plays greater than 20 -25 yards made the highlights. Most offensive highlights had an endzone and a mid field angle. We plan to limit the endzone shots to outstanding O-line shots and defensive secondary plays. Perhaps not all of Connor's 50 touchdowns will make the '08 highlight tape! (Especially the TD's from the 2 and 3 yard line) Unfortunately, we will not have Milton's pregame warrior chants to be able to add to the highlight tape... unless one is willing! We will add more still shots of the coaches, team, cheerleaders, big bird and fans in the stands... seems like that is one of the more favorable comments that we received. And of course, Jimmy Hendrix was a nice touch to the highlight tape this year...:ylsuper:

Great news for Mr. Cox! We attended the Harvaard football camp this past summer and what a place to be... the campus is unmatched and now one gets to play ball in the oldest football stadium in the USA! Good luck young fella...

They are looking at Cecil as an OLB. They plan to get the guy up to 200lbs. :thumb:

Call Dale or the Athletic Department at Highlands. All of the money from the sales of the highlight tape goes back into the Highlands football program.

I visited Holy Cross this past summer - what a great place to be! Only 700 Frosh and about 2,800 strong. A great place to get an unmatched education and a chance to play some football. Good Luck young fella! Luke Stein of Highlands visted Holy Cross last weekend.

D1 -AA. Part of the Ohio Valley Conference. The coach will be in his 3rd year next year. The coach left Tenn. - Martin to coach at MSU. The new Offensive Coordinator was just named last week.! He is from Northern Arizona.

Alex, We are all so proud of you in 41075! You opened up holes the size of the Grand Canyon this year and were a vital member of the finest offensive line in the state of Kentucky! Congratulations on your many achievements on and off the field. Union is fortunate to acquire such a fine Highlands footballer.

The BIRDS highlight video is just about complete... might be too large and long for this site. We have been working feverishly to get the darn thing down to less than 3 hours... I will say the quality of the HHS highlight video is slightly better than the Texas video and the music? How can you beat Led Zep., The Stones, The Who, Jimmy Hendrix and the regular cast of musicians from the '70s. The final... a nice piece from Emmerson Lake and Palmer! :ylsuper: The Texas video was pretty cool. Must have been one heck of a game... So who one the state championship?

My understanding is that Guy owns a 100+ acre farm in Boyle County. A farm that he bought for reitirement when he coached the UK Wildcats. So, it is plausible to think that the "farm" is the thinking for relocating to Boyle County! I also understand that the word is to be known today...

Great recognition to the outstanding athletes who made AP All-State. I agree with many that the AP ranking may have lost its muscle over the years... so is it up to the AP to hand the MR FOOTBALL naming honors over to another entity or can the KHSAA make that decision and allow another media to have the honors? If 12 AP members were the only ones involved in the selection process then I think its time for change... geographically speaking, it looks like the 12 APs did not consider the entire state in their selection process. I am still confused why qb Stein and EJ Fields did not get a HM as well as some other higher profile athletes.

What's up with Greg McGraw? Is he OK? and Simpson.... why did he leave the game?

I agree... The Bird's '07 campaign was positive in nature and I think that was the common thread that kept the boys playing to December 7th. Let's give the '08 squad every bit of support that can be mustered. They certainly deserve it in my book... GO BIRDS!

Well said Louie! It's an honor to be named to the AP team as well as to any other media team! It was an exciting year for Kentucky football and I thank all the athletes that participated this year... 2007 will be a tough year to top for excitement and calibre of play. :thumb:
