D1-AA College of the Holy Cross has invited Harlan Green Dragon Nose Guard Aaron Jones for an official visit this coming weekend. Aaron is also considering NAIA schools University of the Cumberlands, Union, Campbellsville, and D-3 Geneva College in PA. Aaron was honored this year with the KFCA District 7 Co-player of the year, SEKC Class A Defensive Lineman of the Year, District 7 Lineman of the Year, and Harlan County Lineman of the Year. He has been All County, All District, and All SEKC for 3 years.

I would say most Class A schools in his District are happy he is gone.

Good luck to Aaron in his decision to choose the best college to futher his football career.

I visited Holy Cross this past summer - what a great place to be! Only 700 Frosh and about 2,800 strong. A great place to get an unmatched education and a chance to play some football. Good Luck young fella!

Holy Cross has a Sophomore to be from Fort Thomas I believe. Someone for Aaron to connect to in Yankee-Land, if he chooses HC.

Yes, the Jesuits are a Catholic order. It is part of the Patriot League and they play the Ivies when out of conference mostly. They have a nice website for athletics. http://www.goholycross.com

The folks down my way wish him the best as well. College ball is tough on any level but if you go in with the right mindset - that no matter how tough things may get you will NOT give up - then you will do just fine. Good Luck :thumb:

Aaron has narrowed his choices to College of the Holy Cross and Cumberlands. He will probably sign early next week with one of these teams.
