A fantastic game tonight. The first two plays from the Sayre offense were two over the head snaps, but then they settled down and moved the ball, especially their final drive of the first half and the entire second half. The KCD offense did what they do, and ran the ball at will. Time of possession and clock control will be key for the Bearcats. Fillip Pops kicked a game winning 37 yarder with 3 seconds left to secure the win. Best of luck to both of these teams!

I could see this being a shootout if the WEB OL gives the QB time. If I'm HC, I'm blitzing at a high rate. I'll take HC 35-28.

This was much needed. Time for certain coaches and players to behave.

According to multiple people who attended, the scrimmage lasted one drive and then a fight occurred on the field, leading to the rest of the scrimmage being canceled. After the chaos at multiple high school games in Louisville last year, this is not a good start.

I saw on Facebook that the scrimmage was cut short. Any idea what happened?

Coach Jones doesn't get enough credit for how well he's done at KCD. Most of these kids don't start playing football until middle school, and year in and out, they're right there in the hunt in Class A.

This is VERY alarming. Coach Stinnett and Coach Haworth both had fantastic summers, and now both of their best players are announcing transfers right before school starts. Can’t imagine they’re too thrilled at the moment. These kids have the wrong people in their ears.

Agreed. Still, very odd for him when he has nothing left to prove at the high school level. Plus, his mom is an assistant principal at Male and his dad is on the coaching staff and teaches at Barrett, the feeder school for Male.

I just heard from a trusted source that this isn’t happening. Unless X gets Gatewood a job.

Substitution patterns were the reason X lost to J-Town last year. They’ll be 9-10 deep again, so we shall see if history repeats itself come region and state tournament time.

Massive blow to Male and high school basketball here in Kentucky. We don’t appreciate the kids like Trent Noah, Travis Perry, Malachi Moreno, and Reed Sheppard enough who stay in state. Best of luck to the kid, but a very odd move to say the least.

Coach Walker will keep the ship afloat for the year. A man who loves and cares about kids. Like I've mentioned before, letting Coach Williams go was a bad decision.

This will cause a mass exodus of coaches to border states. You have kids who have a less than ideal home life, and they depend on these coaches as mother and father figures. In the time of crisis, you think they’re going to depend on some app to get that message directly to a coach? What if the WiFi is down? What if the app has glitches? The decisions of a few awful individuals are costing coaches who are in this business for the right reason: TO HELP AND PROMOTE KIDS!

Thank you for confirming this. It will be interesting to see where schools are placed once the brackets come out. It will be difficult to make it to where you have to travel across town for another game, one hour after you finish playing, as Lexington traffic on a Friday is as bad as it gets in this state on Nicholasville Road. I hate to see it leave Collins, as it's had great success there over the years. My hope is a church or two nearby steps in to host, so you're not having to travel all around Lexington.

Saw a rumor on Twitter that the big Summer League Tournament was moving to Lexington. Lex Cath and LCA would host the prime slot games. Any truth to this?
