With the schedule PRP has keeping it afloat might be a challenge. Scheduling Trinity, Franklin County, Male, Manual and St X is a pretty brutal line up for a program that has struggled.

I feel bad for the PRP kids.

One challenge in coaching middle school is the vast differences in kids physical development. Some kids are well into puberty while others are not at all. The difference each year makes is huge in strength and speed. The difference in these kids will be much less significant by sophomore year. You don't want to discourage a kid from playing but if he can't physically compete yet its really hard to play the kid. This is especially true when the other team doesn't pull their starters. Getting their clock cleaned discourages kids who may grow 6 inches and add 50 pounds as they hit high school from continuing to play. The other issue is kids who simply are terrible can pose a safety risk to themselves and others. It makes figuring out playing time and how to get them in a game very difficult.

PRP adding Trinity doesn't seem like a good idea for PRP's kids.

ST X is not playing Ryle or Floyd Central. They are adding Owensboro and Boyle County.

The principal is staying until the end of the year and it has been her plan for at least 3 years to retire at the end of this school year.

If the administration or any one at St X starts letting academic standards or performance suffer for athletic success, we will have already lost.

Saying the program has failed to meet expectations by getting blown out in the second round each of the last two years isn't a statement that Kevin Wallace isn't a good coach. He is a good coach which makes what has happened all the more baffling.

X's weight room is over 10,000 square feet. What high school in Kentucky has a comparable facility?

St X isn't like "a lot of schools". It has administrative, parent and alumni support and facilities that very few other schools can match. What has happened the last 2 years isn't "good enough". Especially because the last two years the second round losses were not competitive. That all being said, Wallace is a good coach and at times this year and last year the the team performed at an elite level. The inconsistency is part of the frustration. So hopefully Wallace makes the changes necessary to get it fixed. Being more physical and able to run the ball consistently and tackle better would be great starts.

Atherton has a couple of kids with really good speed but they do not have near enough talent to make this competitive. That being said, what they have accomplished is amazing given where that program has been the last 30 years. Its going to take a few more years to get on the level with Bowling Green.

X's lack of physicality isn't for lack of big strong kids who are physical or who could be taught to hit. The same problem was evident at the end of last year. Trinity manhandle X then and Ryle did tonight especially X's o-line. It is maddening to watch. KIds who can hit didn't suddenly stop enrolling at St. X. Teach the kids to line up and hit somebody and drive block..

Poynter is likely out for the year. X didn't close Ryle out last time because it can't the run the ball consistently. Its a baffling problem given the available talent pool. I think X's success in ground game on Offense will determine the outcome.

X had over 70 kids dressed and no one was sick on game night. Bowling Green kicked our butts.

I think the point some are making is St X isn't diversified because they can't run the ball consistently and they didn't give the QB time to throw Friday either. X does not lack big boys with the talent to be really good high school linemen.

If Eastern knowingly sent their only there freshman to play Trinity's JV team who ever made that call at Eastern needs to lose their job. Trinity's JV team would give Eastern's varsity all they could handle.
