  1. Was that Wes Miller's last game as the Bearcats head coach?
  2. I figured this one would be an anomaly. But as I said, stranger things have happened. I'm sure the coaches aren't banking on lights out from 3 again and will have a game plan in place to give them a chance to win.
  3. Could be on for possible field/grounds or complex maintenance.
  4. They shot roughly 54% for the game, but 65% from behind the arc. Not sure they can sustain that for 3 more games, but stranger things have happened.
  5. I'm guessing this win solidifies their seed in the 5-6-7 area. Another win or 2 and maybe they move up to the 4 line? But without Brown in the line-up that won't be easy.
  6. Holy Cow!! I've seen a lot of HS basketball games, but I have rarely seen a team shoot like NDA did tonight. a tournament record (I believe) 17 threes. Bucket was the size of the Grand Canyon. Congrats PaNDAs. Rest up and get back at 'em on Friday.
  7. Not sure how Trey is ranked #1 when he was out for most of the last season. I know he was productive 2 and 3 years ago, but he's past 30 and seems to be following the TJ Watt formula of spending more and more time hurt and standing on the sideline.
  8. Wonder if this all stems from whatever was hampering him that caused the Raiders to IR him at the end of the season?
  9. Colonels won the regular season game by 21. I'd expect a similar result.
  10. One game to go to make it to Rupp. Still have to bring their A game.
  11. Final according to the scoreboard. Calloway County will take on Assumption in Lexington.
  12. Man, the Cards REALLY like to make things interesting down the stretch.
  13. This is why, even though the 9th tourney starts with an overwhelming favorite, no one is safe.
  14. 40 is the new 20. But staving off a big comeback can make a few gray hairs pop up out of nowhere.
  15. Mixon has been released by Houston. I hope he gets a chance with another team. I'm sure someone will kick the tires. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/I'd/48125078/sources-texans-release-joe-mixon-lost-2025-season
  16. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/I'd/48127564/sources-raiders-trade-maxx-crosby-ravens-two-1sts Raiders get 2026 and 2027 first rounders from the Ravens.
  17. Also guided South Carolina to back to back Outback Bowl wins over Ohio State in 2000 and 2001.
  18. Colonels are really good. Add that to the fact that the talent in the region is not as good as it has been in the past and you get years like this.
  19. I was chauffeuring one of my daughters around today for a school activity and we drove past the old TGIF location on Turkeyfoot Rd. Most of the signage is down and it looks like they are doing a little remodeling and painting. There is also now a statute of a bull out front of the door. Any ideas on what might be going in that spot? Based on the bull, I'd guess some sort of steak place, but I haven't been able to find any information other than Fridays used to be there but closed when the chain went bankrupt.
  20. Guys I covered when they were in HS are now getting head coaching jobs all over. Guess I'm officially old...Thanks guys.
  21. https://www.cnn.com/2026/02/27/entertainment/neil-sedaka-death Few will admit to liking him...but he did have some catchy tunes in the 60s and 70s.
  22. Expected outcome. Colonels are the clear favorite for the region, as they have throttled just about everyone in the 9th. But no time to rest on laurels. There have been many years where the regions clear favorite isn't in the finals. Head down and keep working.
  23. Most famous for his role as Lewis Skolnik in Revenge of the Nerds. He came from a family that produced some very notable actors. https://www.cnn.com/2026/02/24/entertainment/robert-carradine-death-hnk "Born March 24, 1954, Robert Carradine was the youngest son of late American actor John Carradine, and the brother of actors David Carradine and Keith Carradine, as well as Christopher Carradine, a former vice president of Walt Disney Imagineering."
  24. https://www.cnn.com/2026/02/21/sport/bill-mazeroski-pittsburgh-pirates-death-baseball Hall of Fame second baseman for the Pittsburgh Pirates. His bottom of the 9th Home Run in Game 7 of the 1960 Series to beat the mighty Yankees is one of the iconic moments in MLB history and one of the high points of the Pirates time at Forbes Field. RIP, MAZ.
