In a normal NFL market, yes, if not lame duck status. But this in Cincinnati, where even LeBeau got 3 seasons with the worst teams in Bengals history.

Have fun. I'd be fired up to to be in So Cal instead of sitting in cold and snow. LOL

That was always my issue with Vitale. When he was in his heyday, he would go stream of consciousness and talk about every team and player in college basketball, except the 2 in the game you were watching.

Indiana's first Heisman winner. Congrats on the award and a great season.

It's Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana.

The Huskies are a machine. The 28 point final margin doesn't do justice to how dominate they were. Granted, USC without JuJu Watkins isn't as good as USC with her, but they were still ranked 16th and Connecticut made them look like a D2 school. If UConn is on, don't see many challenges for the title.

Norse improve to 9 - 3 on the season. Knights fall to 4 - 6.

Georgia 84 Cincinnati 65, Final Bearcats are struggling.

Just flipped this one on. Good, close game... The uniforms, for both teams, are just aces. Those are beautiful.

Vitale and Barkley?! They trying to make this unwatchable? If I watch this one, it will be on mute.

Complete domination by Louisville. It was fun to see the rivalry brought back. Memphis is clearly not where they were at during the old Metro Conference days, but just the history of it all made for good viewing.

Didn't hurt that Cincinnati was a perennial top 25 team and Xavier was just on the outside of that and was always a threat to make a run in March.

I was up there for a different event, but I noticed the student theme was Christmas Pajamas, so I'm sure that is was a fun atmosphere.

Ho-hum. Bludgeoned another bad team in Rupp.

Can we just teleport to a parallel universe where no one really cares about Shedeur and his career? Afterall, it's Cleveland. For every Baker Mayfield that makes it out alive and has success, there are 10 Spurgeon Wynns. Did Cleveland collude with the NFL for ruin Johnny Football, or Tim Couch, or Brady Quinn or Brandon Weeden or Colt McCoy or Dillion Gabriel? No, they just aren't very good at picking QBs or coaching them.

Ultimately none of this really bothers me. I would watch maybe a little of Louisville's game, but I'll be working when they play. South Carolina isn't in a bowl this season, so I don't have a team to watch. Not a big enough football fan to watch just for the sake of watching. On to basketball and waiting for pitchers and catchers to report.

Hendrickson likely done for the year. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/I'd/47249532/sources-bengals-trey-hendrickson-core-muscle-surgery Guess its a good thing they didn't cave and give him the big money long term deal.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/I'd/47251067/sources-colts-work-retired-qb-phillip-rivers How bad is the QB situation in the NFL if you think your best option is a guy that hasn't played in 5 years? I'm sure Jamarcus Russell is free as well.

I don't know if it will die out completely, but they need to cut back on the number. There are way too many bowls with bad teams playing. If you hit .500, your basically guaranteed a bowl. College football needs to stop rewarding mediocrity. Participation ribbons are ok for elementary school, not major college football.

Hard to believe that Fernando didn't garner enough votes to remain in consideration.

And now the Irish have done their usual order of a Whahburger and some frenchcries and won't accept a bowl bid of any sort. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/articles/cowards-notre-dame-took-ball-215641383.html Attention South Bend. It isn't 1960 anymore. You are not the be-all end-all of college football.

Vandy and Notre Dame are clearly better. But they really have no one to blame but themselves for being on the outside looking in. You have to include the group of fives, otherwise what is their motivation to keep fielding teams? If there is no chance whatsoever to make the playoff, why spend the money trying. Vandy got thumped pretty good by Bama. They didn't have to play Georgia, Ole Miss or Oklahoma or A&M. The loss to a mediocre Texas team cost them. If Notre Dame would just smell the winds and join a conference, they'd have little to worry about. They were miles better than both Duke and Virginia (and almost everyone else in the ACC). If they joined like they did for all other sports, they likely would have breezed through the ACC title game and would have been in as one of the five ranked conference champions. But they didn't. Identical record to Miami. Almost all other metrics favored ND but Miami was close enough to basically call it even. Miami won on the field. Canes in, Irish out.

Game was a lot closer than it seemed. Even when Indiana cut the lead down to, I think 8, it still seemed like the Cards were in firm control as before you knew it, it was 16 again. Overall a good and important performance. Even when Brown has an off day, they can still find points and a way to win.

FBI has released documents showing that they were investigating Rose way earlier than anyone knew, even asking MLB to stop their investigation so as not to interfere with potential legal issues. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/I'd/47215894/new-fbi-documents-mlb-pete-rose-investigation-began-1988
