Here is the list of first time eligible members for the Baseball Hall of Fame.

I really don’t see anyone that jumps out at me as a for sure fire first ballot HOF player.

None of those guys are first ballot guys.  They only one that I can with almost certainty will eventually make it is Hamels.   Braun is borderline and the steroid cloud won't do him any favors.

Hall of Fame results: Jeff Kent (14 votes, 87.5%); Carlos Delgado (9 votes, 56.3%); Don Mattingly (6 votes, 37.5%); Dale Murphy (6 votes, 37.5%); Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Gary Sheffield and Fernando Valenzuela each received less than five votes.

Hard to believe that Fernando didn't garner enough votes to remain in consideration.

These guys are not first ballot HOF guys. Quality players in their own rights, and all had shining moments for their respective teams.

Not superstars by any means.

Congratulations to both Carlos Beltran and Andruw Jones. Beltran was in his 4th year of eligibility after being named on 84.2% of the ballots. Jones was named on 78.4 % of the ballots this was Jones 9th year of eligibility.

They both join Jeff Kent last month by the contemporary era committee as the class of 2026. Manny Raminez received 165 votes 38.8% in his 10th and final year of eligibility. the induction ceremony will be on July 26.
