I was chauffeuring one of my daughters around today for a school activity and we drove past the old TGIF location on Turkeyfoot Rd.  Most of the signage is down and it looks like they are doing a little remodeling and painting.   There is also now a statute of a bull out front of the door.

Any ideas on what might be going in that spot?  Based on the bull, I'd guess some sort of steak place, but I haven't been able to find any information other than Fridays used to be there but closed when the chain went bankrupt.

It is going to be Coba bar and grill. They used to be in Taylor Mill.

It's going to be Torres Mexican Steakhouse as mentioned in the post above.  They have another location out on 42 in Union.  I haven't heard an opening date yet.  The old Taste of Belgium in the mall will be Malone's.  Two new restaurants coming to the area.

When you say Malone's, are you referecing the steakhouse from the BHG based in Lexington? Also owns Drake's?

Yep.  

A sad day for us in our early 50's when Fridays closed....first that and now Applebee's has fallen off a cliff similar to Happy Days when Fonzie jumped the shark. Oh the good ole days!

I remember someone's mom always leaving the football games early to get a table at Friday's before the Friday night football rush got there.  The $4 happy hour appetizers that made date night cheap for a high school and college kid. Lol.
