  1. Louisville has played UC more than they've played any other opponent. Cards lead the all time series 53-43.
  2. This is good news. I don't tend to venture out that way very often (living on the near East Side), but their menu looked really promising when I saw it earlier this week. I'll definitely be checking it out.
  3. I'm all in. I've wanted this since the first year UofL and UC were in separate leagues.
  4. I haven't paid attention to the draft in years. I find myself reading about it today and interested in what happens tonight due to the complete lack of actual sports happening.
  5. I think the pro leagues have known this was coming for a while. Just two weeks ago, in the middle of all this business, little ol' Louisville City FC in USL announced the coaches for youth teams in the new academy in something like 14 different age groupings counting both boys and girls. It was a big jump and clearly they think there's money to be made and talent to be found.
  6. This has been building for a while. MLS academies weren't happy with the inconsistent level of competition, USL has entered the game and has a bunch of teams in ECNL, and US Soccer has no capable leadership at all. Youth soccer in the US remains the Wild West. Don't see that changing anytime soon.
  7. I think everyone I know who tried it got that same message from the IRS site. Bringing all this online this quickly is straining every agency and every bank.
  8. The only potential impact it could have is that as a future credit, certain people who didn't qualify based on prior years' AGI may actually be eligible due to changes in circumstance in 2020. That is to say, my understanding is that if you don't qualify now but your AGI for 2020 turns out to be below the threshold even if your 2019 wasn't, you may be eligible for the credit when you actually file your 2020 return next year.
  9. Yeah I think your second post really hammers home what we're looking at. We're so early in the study of this virus that we really don't know what the general population's antibody resistance to this is going to be on the whole. Lots of questions still to answer.
  10. Both South Korea and Japan have reported re-infections.
  11. Thanks everybody. Despite the circumstances, I had a pretty good day yesterday. Happy Easter!
  12. Friend of a friend passed this week. I'd never met him. Corrections officer in New York who undoubtedly caught it on a shift at Rikers Island. Died alone in his house trying to keep away from his family. Curse this miserable thing. Stay safe everybody.
  13. I'll start going back out to an extent. The really tough thing is going to be that the places I want to be the most -- public, live sports -- are exactly the places I'll least want to go. I'm curious if there will be something like a mandatory mask rule at soccer, baseball, and football games when this gets going. Having trouble imagining that rule's effectiveness.
  14. He was probably edging in on 80 at that point. He also had Dan Fouts with him who I never really enjoyed.
  15. Wasn't this Keith Jackson's final broadcast before he retired?
  16. I think someone handed me this like 10 years ago. Found it in a box last week. It's not all that amusing but here I am, 300 pages deep and I still don't know why.
  17. I've not heard good things from folks about this one. Not sure if I'll watch it. A couple folks have suggested that it doesn't have much new info and to the extent it does, makes the FBI appear a little grasping and somewhat bumbling through this thing. That's not really encouraging.
  18. Honestly we're kind of still on normal food schedule. I cook Sunday-Thursday. Friday and Saturday have long been non-cooking nights. We've tended to hit our normal favorites: Dewey's Pizza Taglio Pizza Green Papaya Thai Sushi Suzy Wong's Asian All great places that are pretty much right in the neighborhood (except Dewey's is a bit of a drive). The rest are local spots that I've come to really like since moving to Cincinnati. There are rumors of weekend breakfast burritos for brunch at the bar down the street. That will probably happen this Sunday.
