You couldn't meet up for the coin toss because of the threat of catching covid but 5 minutes later can line up directly across from each other and breath/tackle the same exact person you couldn't do the toss with. That rule made sense ?

I thought he just retired from coaching?

Is it the case that there were not many applicants? Or is it that he was already involved in some capacity with Shelby Co football and they wanted to keep the hire close to home??

From talking to a player that goes to KWC it's going to take a lot of work to make that a desirable place to coach and/or play I believe.

You'll know who's been doing it "the right way" when August rolls around.

If what is being said is true, the school made the right decision.

I have heard that he is not the head football coach at Lafayette. I have not heard a reason as to why he is not going to be the coach moving forward.

Let kids go where they want. If the parent wants to move their kid, that is a family decision.

Got it. I knew he went that one season but was confused when I saw him in the western hills jersey his freshman year with the success he had at Boyle. Makes sense if he went anywhere else it would be back home.

I understand. The question was why did he leave Boyle? Not where is he from.

That group has obviously shown they can win the big one without him...why did he leave Boyle?

I have officiated and I have coached. Been on both sides of it.

With so much up in the air I can see why someone would be hesitant to apply for either job (this one of Christian Co) but I feel more for the players, especially the seniors, of each team. Knowing they won't be apart of the consolidation and wanting a chance to compete their final year.

I agree, I was simply saying I think that is where a lot of frustration comes from. Not condoning the behavior.

A lot of the outrage sometimes I think comes from officials not being held very accountable for questionable or wrong calls that have a complete effect on the outcome of the game. Don't get me wrong, physical harm, personal attacks, name calling, etc. should never be tolerated. But I have seen some bad officiating and calls over the years and there is never an answer as to why.

What is impressive to me is that this years SR class at Boyle has played in the state finals every year they have been in high school. 2019, 2020, 2021...

Station will certainly be battle tested going into the bye week!

You mean Danville is going to finally play Boyle again after taking 2 season off from them?

I always look at it like this, if coaches can move around to "better their careers" I'm all good with a kid transferring to a place where they think they will have a better opportunity as well.

I figured that was the case but haven't heard any names specifically. I guess it's really not my business either LOL.

I doubt the QB is at Lincoln or LaRue next season..

The hire is made as in there is a hire and waiting for an announcement? Or the hire is made as in they have offered the position and are awaiting a response?

In the last 5 seasons: Mercer is 36-21/Lincoln is 24-32/Garrard is 17-33 The difference in facilities is another reason. Having an indoor space and weight room is hard to compete with. It also seems like to me, and I could be wrong, that the little league and MS programs have been more stable.
