We have had this discussion on other threads. 70 points is excessive. I am sure PT folks will say it was unavoidable. I find that hard to believe in a running clock game.

Agree 100%... there are not enough possessions in a running clock game to score 70 unless you are trying to score 70.

I think 28-20 Henry Co feels right, with PT scoring a couple quick TDs and Henry Co closing out the game from that point.

PT has a chance to pad their win column a bit in October. The game against Union is their test.

Solid win for Mayfield but more importantly i think their defense is getting better. I expected them to win but give up 30+ pts as they did to similar talent-level local schools.

And moving forward as well... with some exceptions I think SW is the new big boy on the block.

My take is that a couple OL guys decided not to take their 5th year. That along with no depth in the younger grades has caught up to McCracken.

The question of Mayfield future is really a question of how long they can keep their coaching staff together. They have a A+ staff and program. Neither of which are easy to establish in rural areas imo.
