  1. South Warren is now 0-1 on the turf, for those keeping up. 😉 Great adjustments led to this win. Bailey had way more time in the second half. With that said, both teams represented BG well! I’m sure this won’t be their last meeting in 22..
  2. You may be right bro, there's a couple clear cut top teams this year based on talent. The games tonight and vs Saint X will let us know if the Purple could take that step. And like you said, if FD doesn't finally win a title, there may be some new faces on the staff. There's way too much talent to pass thru there to not have 1 man.
  3. On your last point, you're saying neither of these teams could win state? Much props to Freddie D and Woodford, but you're selling this city's talent short my guy. Both staffs are also well versed in winning state titles...
  4. Thanks for the prediction man. Like you said BG's last two opponenets are better than South Warren, but anything goes in a rivalry game. I believe that experience on the O line will be the difference for BG. Austin Anderson looked like a machine on both sides of the ball as well. It'll be very interesting to see him and the rest of the line match up on South's #38...
  5. If BG can make 2-3 key stops, that'll be what wins the game. Offensive line play and ball control has to be the point of emphasis this week. Keep Deuce Bailey clean and he will find guys, especially this crop. (Barber, Barlow, Sweeney, and the backs). Defense will need to get pressure and stay disciplined in coverage to win this ball game. BG: 35 South Warren: 20
  6. Like Killowatt said above, Father Ryan is way better than what their record shows. But I believe BG's offense took good strides vs an impressive Boyle squad. I'm going to take BG in this one. BG: 28 FR: 10
  7. You sir are correct! Should be a good contest between two traditional powers.
  8. BG by a score. There's a three headed monster in BG's backfield nowadays...
  9. True, I was on that team and it took the seniors that paved the way for us during those earlier years. They led on and off the field. With that said, I think this team reminds me of those title teams.
  10. Sorry I meant defense. We’ve got guys there can step into new roles on offense! This situation reminds me of the 2011 to 2012 transition.
  11. Reunited and it feels so good... congrats to all coaches and players. Good thing about this team is that most of them will be back! 😏
  12. Lol y’all don’t wanna see a grown man gush, so imma keep it minimal. I love the family atmosphere around the program. From a starter to a bench player everyone is included.
  13. Spader and his defensive staff has done a Great job since 2013! I loved playing for both coaches during my tenure. (Griff and Spader)
  14. Just a little side note about the game. I'm hoping that the officials let the boys play. I'm not saying to allow injuries, but this is a heated rivalry game. There is going to a lot of emotion and a lot of moving targets. I've been in that environment before (not for a state title lol) and I know how chippy it can get. Refs just need to get control of the game early to avoid foolish penalties that take away from the game. Bowling Green does not need a repeat of 2018.... please.
  15. If we're playing NCAA football 14, Burwash is what we like to call an athlete (ATH). He has played every position on the field except inside backer and o/d line. He lined up quite a bit at running back earlier in the season. He does a great job at spelling Bunton when he needs a blow, Halcomb (27) has gotten more carries as of late however with Burwash's move to wide out. Burwash also comes for nickel and dime packages on defense. So there will plenty of #16 sightings on Saturday!
  16. Congrats Corbin on taking home the state title! It's been quite a run for the Redhounds over the past decade!
  17. Congrats Belfry on winning the state title!
