  1. Should’ve been by more honestly. Anybody count up that penalty yardage?
  2. Imma take Superman and the gators in an “upset”. GW: 21 Owensboro: 13
  3. Both teams are totally different from their last meeting... I don't see South's QB running the ball as well as he did in the first meeting. With that said, it's on BG's front to stop the QB run game. BG: 35 SW: 14
  4. At least there's gonna be concession popcorn? BG: 46 (Running clock first half) OC: 0 This is a game where BG just hopes for no injuries.
  5. The gap isn't nearly as big in speed and big game experience. Switching the matchup from early September to late season definitely helps both teams, especially the more youthful BG. I do think X has improved, but not as drastically as BG has. But with that said, X is still the defending 6A champion, so there wasn't much need to improve. Should be a good contest between two state champion contenders.
  6. Freddie D may have the athletes, but I just think that Boyle's coaching staff will out scheme to make up for the speed gap. Don't get it twisted though, Boyle got some guys that can roll, especially number 9! Boyle: 30 Freddie D 17
  7. Purples were right in the ball game until the fourth quarter last year… this is a completely different team, especially on offense. If the defense can make 2-3 key stops, I’m confident that Bailey and the offense will find success. Time of possession and key special team snaps will be the difference here. No disrespect to X, but I’m taking the Purples. BG: 24 STX: 17
  8. Called this one. Sets up BG vs south in second round possibly.
  9. Referees are needed for the WKU vs UAB game, so they moved in town games up a day, same with FS vs WE. Good thing we are in Hoptown Friday.
  10. Solid take man. Lofton is up there but I'm gonna say that the cat from Father Ryan (16) was no play toy! He constantly got in between the safeties for solid catches.
  11. Meant to vote on this game earlier. I'm going to take Greenwood in the upset by a score. I believe that their defense has enough to tackle South's athletes. Greenwood also has the ability to be explosive on offense as well. And lastly, anything can happen in these rivalry district games. GW: 20 SW: 14
  12. The entire city of BG was a vibe from 07-09, a whole lotta competitive teams with headliners. Shenard Holton / Lavance Anderson / Tevin Barksdale / Cortez Barber / etc.. all made Friday nights must see in BG.
  13. Not a bad pick at all. Lofton Howard has the size and experience to give South Warren all they can handle.. I wouldn't be surprised if they can pull it off. After this game Friday, I think we will have a solid idea on how they can possibly fair.
  14. They're lilttler bro til they win something that's not softball / volleyball. With that said, I definitely am proud of the fact that GW usually beat (or competitive with) teams from surrounding counties.
  15. You think that Trinity team beating Jamale and the guys?
  16. 2011 (Nationally ranked) ,2013 (Ranked best team in state, no matter class), and 2016 Purples. I'm sure other programs like Trinity, Male, Highlands, etc have elite squads as well.
