Big win Greenwood, congrats!

Congrats to Greenwood and Coach Howard.! What little bit I watched they were dominating South and honestly just looked like they broke South’s spirit. 

Good for the Gators.  This definitely surprised me. South has now lost two games to Greenwood in its history. 

Does anyone know if South was Missing any key players or was Greenwood able to beat them full strength?

I sniffed this one out.

South Warren will go on the road in the first round for the first time since their first season in 2011, so just second time ever.

This also likely puts them on a collision course with Bowling Green in Round 2. And Greenwood perhaps has put themselves in position to have a legitimate shot at advancing past the second round for the first time since moving to 5A, and just second time ever.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but this likely earns Greenwood a date with Owensboro in round 2. Seems like there are no winners with the seeding.

Correct.  But Greenwood will take their shot at a team that they're 0-11 against vs. the one they're 0-34 against (they're both bad ha).

Oh yeah.  Just give Greenwood the state title now and cancel the playoffs.

I know this means a lot to them. 
they had the best player on the field. 
south didn’t look great tonight. Button and Sales ran the ball pretty well but that was it on offense. Greenwood played a great game. 
Makes it interesting going forward for sure. 
I disnt expect this outcome. 

It will be extremely interesting to see how much longer some of these injuries for South last.  BG round 2 in just three weeks.

Most points Greenwood has ever scored against South Warren, exceeding their previous high of 18.  Just second time Greenwood has held South Warren to less than 33 points.  Naturally, those are their two wins.

Greenwood will have their first home playoff game in six years.
