I'm going to give it one more try, hector, because I like you. The whole point is NOT how good or how bad the 2009 Beechwood Tigers were…history will put them in their proper place. The point is that the Beechwood FANS who post on this site believed that the 2009 Tigers would handle Mayfield in that game. And that was why I included that particular game in my original post. Ok, thats a wrap. By the way, when the Cardinals are out of the playoffs and Beechwood is still in…I'm a Tiger fan. ?

Beechwood defense was crazy good last year…sounds like they will be again this year. They will be a tough out for sure, but we have beaten teams who were supposed to beat us many times ( see Beechwood v Mayfield 2009). Mad respect for the red and white Tigers, but lets not get the cart in front of the horse…at least not yet. ?

JT, not sure about the relations between the Starks…but it would not surprise me if they are. Stephensen (sp?) is back, but Gloyd and Coles are gone. Gavin Jackson is also back and he had a huge year for us.. So we are a little more seasoned than you think.

We will be better than last year"s team with the potential to be much better. I know that fans can be overly optimistic about their team in the preseason, but I'm just calling it like I see it. Our linebacking corps will be stellar, our receivers are seasoned and speedy, we have a running back that is a beast...how many teams have a kid who wins the 100 meter race and then runs over to compete in the shot put?...very few. I agree that our chances of going undefeated in the regular season are very good.

Back to back titles for Beechwood…fantastic job Tigers! I stated in the pregame discussion that LCA would have to play their best game to win this…Beechwood is just too good this year.

With all due respect to a fine LCA team, I find it hard to believe that LCA has faced a better team than Beechwood this year. All the arguments can be made, but they are just “paper arguments”…I have personally seen this bunch of Tigers in action, and LCA had better play their very best game…even then it might not be enough. I believe Beechwood wins back to back championships…they are that good.

On our way home. It was my first visit to Beechwoid, and color me impressed. Beautiful school, great facilities, and really good team. Great job Tigers…you deserved it tonight. Should be a great game against LCA next week…good luck!

This too will be my first trip to Ft Mitchell to see these two teams play…I like how the Cardinals are playing right now, but defending against Hergott has me concerned. How do you prepare for a player like that? If too much focus is on him, than Beechwood has other guys who can hurt you. I have confidence in our coaches… they are some of the finest high school football coaches you can find, but it will take a great game plan and some flawless execution to keep Beechwood from getting that long desired win against us.

Ok, i have to respond to this. It is true that we are fans who are broadcasting the game, but we know what we are talking about. We actually do something pretty unique in that we respond to viewers who are commenting about the game. I understand that some of that can sound somewhat unprofessional at times, but we are not claiming to be professionals. What has amazed us during this whole thing is that we gave an opportunity for fans who live far away from Mayfield the ability to watch every game. And they are so grateful for it! We have a grandmother who lives in Brazil that gets to see her grandson play every friday night…same for a soldier in afghanistan who gets to see his littl brother play. I could go on, but i wont. We do it for Mayfield fans…thats it.

It depends on whether you are willing to be a link for the KHSAA (less expensive) or you want it all to yourself (much more expensive)… cost goes up as you go deeper into the playoffs. The regional final last nite cost 400ish. Its more exspensive than I thought it would be.

We have paid the rights fees to the KHSAA and will be broadcasting this game on Red Helmet Video. Anyone can go to our “ Red Helmet Video” facebook page and watch it there. Can the Cardinals pull the upset? Not sure, but it will be interesting to watch. Great respect for Beechwood…I will be honest, I love going up there and beating them on their own field. How long to kickoff? ? GBR!

First of all, congratulations to the Dragons on such a great turnaround...it deserves to be celebrated. I also was at that game in 1975...Deaton was a great high school QB. But this is 2021, and the Cardinals are up to the challenge...Mayfield wins by 3 touchdowns.

Wow…what a turnaround! This is what we were expecting in the reg season game. Our kids were FOCUSED, and it showed. I knew this was going to be good when Murray went for it on 4th down from their OWN 37 yd line…it was 4th and 4…lost yardage on the play. We took it and scored and the rout was on.

The only school to have turf in far Western KY is McCracken Co. If you want to see some nicely kept football fields then just come on over...and Im talking about grass fields.

First chance to respond since last nite’s game was completed…it took awhile to eat all the crow that I had in my mouth. Sokolowski won this game for the tigers…played a fantastic game. We honestly had no answer for him. No excuses…we got beat. This ends my career as a score predicter…?

Finally, somebody that actually watches Mayfield football.

Cardinals roll in this one! Murray may have rushed for 500 yards on three occasions this season, but they weren’t running the ball against Mayfield’s defense. Murray is NO threat to pull the upset…IMHO. ?
