If they win this game and all their district games, yes. A win vs SK looks great but it doesn’t matter if they can’t get over the hump and beat Ashland. Ashland is the win they have to get to be considered a 3A title contender.

Huge win for the Lions! I believe there is a chance they could host a playoff game in their new stadium this season.

I agree that Russell and Paintsville are the biggest test for both of those schools. However, if both WC and BC go undefeated in district play WC should jump them in my opinion. District 8 is just tougher than District 7.

Could a convincing road win over Shelby Valley move WC to #5? Murray and Danville games are also intriguing.
