Following a slow start littered with penalty flags on both sides, Somerset (3-0) settled in and pulled away from Russellville for a 41-9 win. Kaiya Sheron and Chase Doan both ran for over a hundred yards, with Sheron adding three touchdown passes.

Hazard took one on the chin in Week 3 against Paintsville, to the tune of 54-0. The Bulldogs now sit at 0-3 for the first time since 1987. Is all hope lost? You'd like to think not, with so much still ahead of them. But the chance of avoiding the program's first 0-4 start since 1977 seems grim, with 2A's top ranked team and defending champion standing in the way.

Can Hazard stun the Jumpers and save a season on the brink of getting away from them, or will Somerset continue to flex on perennial 1A powers, having already beaten Williamsburg and Russellville?

  • I am going to watch a little of this one, the broadcast is really nice.

This Hazard team has been way below the standards that they've set for themselves over the years.   I'm not sure if they miss Dixon, are young,  injured,  or just in a down cycle.

They're not going to solve their issues by going to the Briar Patch to take on the Jumpers.   Somerset takes this one 40-6.

Somerset can pretty well name the score.

Somerset 42-7.

Somerset 44-6.

Beautiful night for football in Somerset...57 degrees, no breeze and a clear sky.

Somerset in Purple and Pink tonight for their yearly "Pink out" game for Cancer. Hazard in their white on white unis tonight.

I know that I'm biased, but dang that is a good looking field!
