Hey there!! The game is at 7:00. My good buddy Ted Arlinghaus asked me to do this favor for the girls about a month ago. Couldn't turn it down. These 8th grade games are our most listened to archives. The kids absolutely love it. Nancy Kastner Armbruster will call the game with me. She played for Xavier.

They still may be trying to figure it out. Coach Shields was so good. His grandson Abe Hils was just as impressive at halftime. Thanks to Coach Richey for coming up after the game. Huge congratulations to her as 400 is rare air in NKY girls coaching records. My findings show she's only the 5th to do it behind Nell Fookes, Bill Goller, Ray Kues and Don Shields.

The Tigers travel to Newport Tuesday 1/25. This could be the battle of the 8th grade stars with Beechwood Tiger PG Cash Harney and Newport's James Turner. Thanks for the pub B-Ball-fan and Frank, but we have a sickness scare with some of my team tonight, so we're cancelling. So bummed. Our first Covid cancellation. Just a few, but I don't think they were from Alabama. I think they were local from someone wanting to hurt me or The (859). Just my gut feel. We're working on it. With a freshman Color Commentator and an 8th Grade Camera Man on the mic and and out of town team, lots going on in the booth. I let my guard down. Won't happen again. But they used a free form email option on the Meridix platform. They are involved with assisting with it so this doesn't happen again. They have been blocked. I am embarrassed I let them get to me with their complaints but that was just a setup for the last email. Will never happen again. I should have been better than that. I've learned a lot and continue to pursue it. Really appreciate what you've said and continue to support us.

Wow what a game as Cooper came back from 11 down twice, early in the game and the third quarter. Weston Roberts, a Moeller transfer, had to sit out the first 5 games of their 6 for CHCA and no one had him even in their rotation. Kid puts up 30. Brennan Bucher and I looked at him like he was crazy. He was the only one not from CHCA that didn't blow it.

Big NKY rivalry game Friday night as the Dawgs travel to Ft. Thomas to take on the Birds. Back in the day this was one of the biggest rivalries in Greater Cincinnati and the entire State of Kentucky. For this one to be close the Bulldogs are going to have to find another scorer or 3 ad Quantez Calloway cannot do it all, but he definitely does his fair share with 25 ppg. Highlands has lots back from last year who can score, but Zach Barth and William Herald are both averaging 18 ppg. I'm happy to announce a new recruit. Talk about a game that has been circled since the 33rd District Championship back in March. I know The (859) has had it circled. This game will feature the most D1 caliber players on one court in a long time. Dave has branched out to girls' games and also football!! Bishop Brossart is so fortunate to have Dave and hard to find a guy more dedicated to his craft in a support staff role.

I wanted to give a huge shout out to Dave Schabell who blazed the trail for all of us in the internet radio business 19 years ago on December 6th. What a coincidence his first broadcast and 20th season anniversary were both broadcasted from Pendleton County High School and both wins. We all owe so much to Dave who was the first to broadcast in NKY as a full time internet radio announcer. Personally I owe everything to Dave as he trained me. After CovCath made it to the state semi-finals in 2004, Head Coach Mike Listerman realized how important it was to bring high school games to fans all over the world and Dave Schabell was doing that for Mustang Nation for 2 years prior. Thousands of broadcasts and a Single A Boys Championship later, schools all over NKY are streaming games online. Here's to 20 more seasons Dave!!! Everyone please join me in a HUGE congratulations!!!

I forgot to mention in the booth with me for the first time will be Holmes Bulldog Great and state champion Ricardo Johnson!!! Can't wait.
