What a special treat tomorrow, Tue Feb 15th @859Radio is going to broadcast the Future NKY Girls Basketball stars by being at this game.

I don't have a time of the game so hopefully @859Radio will state that.  It is the 8th grade recognition night for St. Pius.

Enjoy the spotlight girls!

I have heard great things from this 8th grade class at Highlands.

@The Double Deuce thought you would enjoy knowing this but I am sure you had this on your radar already.....

Hey there!!  The game is at 7:00. My good buddy Ted Arlinghaus asked me to do this favor for the girls about a month ago. Couldn't turn it down. These 8th grade games are our most listened to archives. The kids absolutely love it. Nancy Kastner Armbruster will call the game with me. She played for Xavier.

Thanks so much @FrankNicodemusfor starting this thread!  Let's get a crowd!

We did this same game at St Pius two years ago pre-covid and it was a huge success.  The girls love it.

This is fantastic.  It is awesome what you do for NKY!

When you do the game it would be interesting to see if you are able to gather what High School these St. Pius girls are venturing off to, especially the starting 5.  Are they mostly a NDA feeder school or will some venture to other schools (ie. St Henry, Holy Cross or maybe even go public with Dixie).

Highlands travels to St. Pius X and comes away with a nice victory to spoil the St. Pius 8th grade recognition

St. Pius X was up 24 - 20 with around 2 minutes left, then Madison Barlow and Ava Muzumdar nails back to back 3 pointers for the Birds to go up 26-24.

After some fouls and missed shots the rest of the way, it looked like Highlands Avery Barber puts in a layup at the buzzer to seal the victory 28-24.

Final:  HHS 28  St. Pius X 24

GO BIRDS!!!!

Another great broadcast by @859Radio
