  1. I watch college hoops every night, whether on the Big Ten Network, the ESPN family, FS1, CBS College, or NBC Sports Network. Every night. As much as I can digest.
  2. I'm certainly never going to be confused with being a UK fan, but I don't think it is definitively so as you seem to. Gonzaga has cupcake city the rest of the way, they will end up the #1 seed out west. Virginia has 4 potentially dicey games the rest of the way, NOT including Duke at home (at UNC, at VaTEch, at UL, and at Syracuse). Duke has 4 dicey games still to play (at Virginia, at UL, at VaTech, and at UNC), so again, not a lock to get to the finish line with even one more loss. Michigan has Michigan State twice, plus at Iowa and at Maryland. Michigan State has Michigan twice (obviously), plus at Wisconsin. Tennessee has two with UK, at LSU, and at Auburn. Houston is a toss for me in terms of being a #1 seed. So honestly, UK has a very good chance of getting to the 1 line given all of the carnage that COULD develop over the next 5 weeks. Plus, I'm not even getting into what COULD happen in the conference tourneys. If I was handicapping the odds of getting a one seed today, on January 29th, by my confidence level, I'd go like this: 1. Gonzaga (mortal lock) 2. Duke 3. Michigan State 4. Virginia 5. Michigan 6. Kentucky 7. Tennessee 8. North Carolina (a LOT of chances left to make an impression) 9. Houston 10. Virginia Tech (have a pretty favorable ACC schedule remaining, both UVA and Duke are at home, toughest road tilts left are at NC State and at FSU)
  3. I have lived in NKY forever, and have not only never heard of Big Bone Baptist, have never heard of anyone who has ever referred to them and their program. I assume they aren't in the KHSAA?
  4. I don't have any anti-LaRue bias, believe me, I'm just asking what is their best win that can propel them to landing at 10 on this list? Bullitt Central? That isn't so hot, if you're being honest.
  5. I heard IHM beat Pius 8th grade in the Public School league last night at IHM. That has to be the biggest upset of the year, if it is correct.
  6. That may be the case, but I'm not sure this score in this thread is the supporting evidence you're looking for.
  7. Obviously a lot of hoops / tourneys to be played between now and then, but sign me up for the potential semi-finals of: John Hardin vs. Trinity and Scott Co. vs UHA Yes please!
  8. Welp...I'm officially done with Gramma's Pizza on 42 in Florence, Sky Galley by Lunken, and Blue Gibbon on Tennessee. In all 3 cases, if I'm being honest with myself, I probably knew what was up and was simply ignoring the obvious.
  9. The 9th and 11th in the first round could be a rematch of last year's State Championship game...that would be fun. Coach Hicks would be able to potentially exact a little revenge on CovCath beating them in the finals 2x in the last 5 years.
  10. What am I missing on LaRue County? I don't see a single win on their schedule versus what I call even a fringe top 20 team, yet they are 10th? I guess I could see "liking" their close losses to John Hardin and UHA, but they were ear-holed by Trinity and dropped a game to a good not great Central Hardin. I'm not trying to be confrontational, but honestly, what does the voting committee feel like is their best win? Bullitt Central, I guess?
  11. Wayne is a really solid win, they have captured some HUGE wins the last few years.
  12. NewCath? I assume you're making some reference to where he went to middle school, and I have no idea where that was; nor is it germane to my point about Collopy. Let me try this again: for Ken to be over .500, but have a faction of former Breds want him out, seems unrealistic. Players like Ben and Drew don't grow on trees, and NewCath isn't going to be blessed with kids of that ilk on the regular. Hope that clears up my position, where either Ben or Drew went to Middle School has exactly zero to do with the point I was trying (albeit, unsuccessfully) to make.
  13. Dude is awesome, on the court, and off the court. What a great example of what everyone should want their little men grow into. How about Campbell Co., essentially, replacing a class act like Matt Wilson with another one of the same ilk in Reid Jolly?! Very cool for the Camels.
  14. This one surprised me, because all I hear from my NCC super-fans is that there is a growing faction of Bred alums that want to run him out. Forget the fact that he is north of the mendoza at NewCath, he is also one of the ALL TIME great guys. I guess the guys on the hill think there are Weyers and McDonalds all over Campbell Co. Catholic schools.
  15. I believe that should be an 85% winning pct (172 / 202) for Ruthsatz. Man, he and Sully any good?
  16. Allow me to ask again, at this juncture in the proceedings, who do YOU believe should be the leader for Miss Basketball?
  17. Coach Mack was as engaged as I've seen him this year, that seemed like one he really felt like they needed. His reaction on that Nwora call, I think it was Nwora, was as close to losing his mind as I've seen him.
  18. $12 million per for 5 years is crazy for a 31 year old who has missed half his team's games the last 3 years, and has only played more than 140 games once in his career (2015). Seems like an amazing reach to me for the Dodgers.
  19. Well, given that they'll only have to beat either Boone or Ryle, which in February of 2019 isn't a tough ask, I'd say making the regional should be fait accompli at this point.
  20. Apparently that early wake up call didn't impact the Cardinals. Wow, impressive opening win.
  21. So, in your opinion, who is the leader at this point for Miss Basketball?
