Conner 29% from the arc, that isnt up to their normal standards. That is the potential issue, and NCAA teams playing in domes deal with it as well. Different depth than shooters are used to.
Congrats to Newport.
Have to love what Matt has going on out in Hebron.
I know liking a chain's wings is akin to insulting everyone's wing palates, but I like Quaker Steak & Lube's wings -- tons of meat and great sauces and combinations.
I like the wings at Smoke Justis, no doubt. I think K-N-F is way overrated. FlipDaddy's actually has really good wings, which was a surprise to me.
I miss Cassidy's in Fort Wright, not going to lie.
I think Conner is too dependent on the arc, and this is a new and different type of shooting background for them, so give me the team whose game travels.
Newport by 11-14.
Check. One rung closer to Rupp.
In my opinion, the WORST match-up for Beechwood is the oncoming train from Union.
I loved Sully's chance of winning halftime, he did, and Cooper exerted their will in the 2nd half.
Solid double digit win for the Jags.
Really good year for the Birds, and they will be back, great classes in the funnel.
Hmm....someone called a double digit win AND then followed up that Sully would win the battle at halftime. Weird.
Jags' trip to Rupp is one rung closer.
Quite a difference than the Beechwood Tigers putting up half a hundred in the first half.
I LOVE Cooper's chances in the 2nd half with Coach Sully making the halftime adjustments.
Based on how they do in their Catholic School Leagues. CovCath hosts the Kenton Co and Boone Co 8th Grade Catholic School league, there is a small school division (that St. Cecilia comes from), and then there is a league at NewCath that all of the Campbell Co. Catholic Schools play in.
7th Grade, I believe Pius wins it all, and is probably never pushed.
8th Grade, I'm honestly not as confident, and I've never seen St. Thomas play (they are the #1 seed from the West?), but I'll say the winner of St. Thomas and St. Joe's Cold Spring will play Sts Peter & Paul in the finals.
To the contrary, I think most are with you in that Highlands can, and certainly may, win the game. I think you're actually in the majority.
I'm going to take the other side and say that it isn't going to be as close as most are predicting, that Cooper wins a game that may only be 10-15 on the scoreboard, but will be described by those in attendance as "not as close as the score indicates".
