Until this game I didn't realize Vito Tisdale was playing for Colorado. Hoping he finds his place there.

Credit to Holmes as well. I was told by many of the CCH players that the Holmes guys talked zero trash and no cheap shots or late hits. They came in, they played the game they left. It's unfortunate that Holmes is in the position they are in, and I really have no idea how they can right themselves in terms of wins and losses, but they get two thumbs up from me on how they handled themselves. I wish them good luck.

I like how football does it. Shorten the field and equal possessions. Not sure how that would work in soccer. Maybe play half a field game and maybe reduce the players to 5v5 or some version of that. A turnover is a turnover of possession and restart. Offense out of bounds=turnover and a defensive out of bounds=continue possession. First team to go up after equal possessions=game over. Not sure if this is even feasible but I don't love pk's and dislike ties even more.

I know some people are criticizing the end of season schedule. I don't think CCH loved it either, but with the reclassification to 4A and the already agreed upon games from the prior year it had to be what it is or we would have had to back out of other contracted games which in my opinion opens up another can of worms and wouldn't look kindly on the athletic department. I'll be the optimist here and say though it may hurt our RPI (though there is nothing we can do about it because we have to play most of these teams) I welcome an easier 2nd half of the season. We have lots of key player injuries that have to heal up. Hopefully, come playoff time, we are back to a full squad. I suspect Beechwood may be in the same camp as me. I had heard rumor that Clay Hayden broke his collarbone in the CCH game. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. I don't wish that on anyone, especially someone as talented as Clay.

This will be a good high scoring game. It will not be a blow out. I see Beechwood coming out really amped as they always do against CCH, but I think come the fourth quarter the tank will run out, with CCH winning by 10.

Good call CCHFC! Agree on all accounts. SK's O and D lines are no joke! If the Colonels come out flat or not focused, CCH could be on the wrong side of the scoreboard. I suspect this has the potential to be a high scoring affair. I think conditioning in the end will wear them down. Thinking CCH by 2 TD's

I agree as a CCH fan. Don't get me wrong I love CCH beating up on the Birds as much as any Cov Cath fan. But I'm a Northern KY guy. Born and bred. I knew Highlands. I tongue and cheek hated Highlands. Ultimately, as much as it pains me to put this in print, I respected Highlands for how they handled themselves as students, as athletes and for the accomplishments they had achieved and how they achieved them. As an adult now I don't know if I have that same respect now. It's not the same. But in fairness it's not the same anywhere. But the problem is you are holding your football coach to a higher standard than the parents, students, teachers and principal. That's a problem. When the football coach is held to a higher standard than the teachers' parents and school administration, the coach is going to fail more times than not. What my wife and I saw on the field was not quite as bad as what I saw and experienced in the stands, on the school grounds and on the sidewalks walking up to the school. If you want details private message me and I'll give them. The vulgarity is not fitting for this public forum. Spires does have a discipline problem, but he alone will not solve it. It is beyond him at this point. If X's and O's are your problem with him then so be it, but if its behavior and discipline the school needs to take a step back and look at itself first.

You had to go and ask that question. Now I can't beat my chest and proclaim how good CCH is?. I'll say North Laurel is middle of the road at best. They have nice size and a couple of good strong athletes, but they need a little help.
