Totally agree, St. Henry really could be set to skyrocket in athletics and continue to grow the school. If I had a dollar for every time I heard someone say they would've gone to St. Henry if they had a football team, I'd be a millionaire. Mostly meant they were going to CCH instead, but they'll take some from Beechwood and public schools as well. Don't want to get too far ahead of myself though!

I had/have very similar thoughts. It is truly remarkable how much has changed at that school in the last ~5 years, or at least since I graduated from there in ‘17. But I’m not holding my breath until I see an announcement. Too good to be true… maybe

What's interesting? Tom Ellis had 441 wins at Holmes and Faust had 482 at St. Henry

Matt Otte sticks out as an expected frontrunner if he's interested in coaching again. Would doubt Sully is interested (I'm not familiar but want to say it'd be hard to give up the public teaching benefits). Don't know of any other names, but I'm sure people will draw the connection between St. Henry's principal and a certain former Division-I basketball coach.

Accidentally posted the same comment twice. I'll edit this one to say I think CCH wins. Close battle in the first half, but feel like the Colonels will have a grip on the game throughout all four quarters. Can't wait for this one.

Just came across a link to a petition called "Keep Coach Sullivan as Head Coach" that's been posted by former players. The description reads: "Keep Coach Sullivan as head coach of Cooper Basketball. Sullivan has brought home 3 district titles in the past 3 years, and won 2025 coach of the year. KEEP HIM AT COOPER. Please share so we can get as many signatures as possible! We love you Sully!" I know there were rumors of Sullivan leaving Cooper last year, but this seems more than just offseason chatter? Not to mention how terrible the timing is with regionals coming up.

I know I'm a few months late to this, but was there a reason why St. Henry dropped it? Didn't know if it was a scheduling conflict or something else. Always loved going to those games—even if CCH won most of the time lol

Another post just dropped, sounds like the Diocese is meeting with Coach and Nick soon. Nick said he wouldn’t comment on the situation until it happens, but he seems happy that there’s a chance they could get some clarity.

Was at the St. X-CCH game in 2015. That game got out of hand real quick. IIRC, it was 16-0 within two minutes. Gimme Elder tonight, but really curious to see how Cov Cath competes
