  1. Since my alma mater doesn't have football I always cheered for Beechwood since I had a very close friend play for them. I also like Danville and Gallatin County because of family connections. Other than them, it's cool to see Ludlow, Bellevue, and Dayton do well. St. X (OH) is my main team overall, though.
  2. Look for the Jets, Steelers, or Jacksonville to maybe have a go for Kirk.
  3. As a Boise State/Redskins fan, I was so hoping that the Skins would've picked Ajayi up in the 2015 draft. Instead, they took Matt Jones... and he isn't on the team anymore. Now he's on a division rival and will most likely do a great job. Don't know how he's only worth a fourth rounder though...
  4. As a big House of Cards fan, this is just very disappointing. He's a tremendous actor, but such a shame he is being accused of this. His apology was also less than stellar. ICYMI: Kevin Spacey apologizes for alleged sex assault with a minor - CNN His apology is in the article as well. House of Cards/Netflix have announced that the show is done after season 6 (which probably was going to happen anyways). So, fellow HoC watchers... What do you think? I see tons of people calling for them to kick Kevin/Frank out of the show and let Claire take over but honestly I would not be a fan of that. I'm still on the train that the season will open with Frank waking up from his coma after being shot.
  5. Any reason why IHM isn't participating in the 6th and 8th grade bracket?
  6. Wow! Great game Tigers. I think a lot of people didn’t expect this. Good luck in the playoffs!
  7. 19-25, 25-16, 25-19, 17-25, 20-18 Wow, seems like it was a classic. Down goes NDA!
  8. You guys had your turn, now it's our turn to host! (Plus, remember what happened last time JMU went to Fargo? )
  9. I know, but a man can dream, right?
  10. Haven't won an Ivy League championship since 1961, in which they shared the title with Harvard (both teams finished 6-1 in conference play).
  11. Pleeeeeeeeeeeease somehow have the two teams meet in the semi-finals so it could (potentially) be at Bridgeforth
  12. Man I hope he stays even after his son graduates... One of the best high school coaches ever. But can't help but think his connections with Urban Meyer might be able to land him somewhere at the next level.
  13. If he is convicted of this I hope he ends up in jail, not Duke. Let's be rational here - This kid (if proven guilty) ruined not only his own life but someone else's.
  14. Can't believe I missed Sam Martin being a preferred walk-on... I played against him as a kid! Even went to high school with him for a year. Very happy for him, can definitely shoot the ball well.
  15. Let's remember to keep things classy... Just because teams offered him before the crime does not mean they'll still keep it on the table.
  16. I wasn't the poster of the GCL vs. Louisville comment, but I misread that and took it as GCL vs. KY. I'd love to have a debate about GCL vs. Louisville, as it definitely does present some exmaples of good games. My reasoning was that Cincy St. X looks very good this year, and Specht will absolutely make sure they perform better than the game against Iggy. Since it's in Louisville, it'll be closer, but I think the Bombers will still pull out the win. Now, my comment before in this thread was probably a bit too much in saying that they should have no issue.
  17. I know we have some FCS fans on here, so let's create some discussion for fellow D-1 (AA) schools! Rank is in parenthesis. Let's start with how the top-ten teams did: James Madison (1) 46, William and Mary 14 North Dakota State (2) 24, Western Illinois (12) 12 Jacksonville State (3) 30, Eastern Illinois 14 Illinois State (24) 37, South Dakota (4) 21 Samford (14) 24, Wofford (5) 21 Central Arkansas (6) 45, Northwestern State 17 Sam Houston State (7) 63, Lamar 27 Southern Utah 46, Eastern Washington (8) 28 Northern Iowa 19, Youngstown State (9) 14 Delaware 42, Richmond (10) 35 Now let's see how the Kentucky teams did this week: Morehead State 29, Stetson 26 Eastern Kentucky 31, Tenessee-Martin 21 Other result that I feel deserves a mention: Columbia 22, Dartmouth 17. With that win, Columbia takes first place in the Ivy League.
  18. Might have to try and catch the Tennessee vs. UK game... Just to see who fails less
  19. Ignatius takes down St. X 28-14. Don't assume that makes Iggy the favorites, though. D-1 Ohio football is always full of surprises.
  20. If it was against Trinity I would have to think about it, but I think the real St. X handles the Tigers.
  21. Tomorrow is a big one in Ohio. #1 vs. #2, St. X travels to Cleveland to take on St. Ignatius. Re-match of last year's dramatic state championship.
