Contrary to what seems to be the majority, I absolutely love UVA basketball. I've always been a defense guy, but today shows UVA is legit! Can't wait to see how they do come March.

I give full credit to NDSU and the fact their defense caused problems and won fair and square. I will say, though, that if our wide receivers didn't drop every other pass, we could very well be talking about JMU winning their second straight title. Our offense just didn't show up, but our defense did spectacular in the second half to keep us in the game (and so did our punter on that fake!).

I almost made the trip to Annapolis for this, but ultimately decided to stay home. Despite my school/avatar and what they did to Boise State earlier in the season, I like UVA (no, I didn't get rejected from there. Didn't even apply). Got excited after the opening kick-off, but it went from great to painful to watch. UVA getting to a bowl game is a good step for the program. I'm sure Mendenhall would've loved to have had a winning season, but the ship is headed in the right direction.

Yep. I've watched a few videos of him and he definitely isn't afraid to chirp. But the coach should've just let his players do the talking. Thanks for the added info, though!

According to a YouTube video that had highlights of this game, Fern Creek’s coach said to McClung while he was at he free throw line “You’re going to Georgetown to sit”. If that’s true, that’s terrible.

Yes. They’ve been here and in position longer than Cincy (and Nashville, too) and have done everything MLS has asked them besides having a ton of money. I wouldn’t be that upset if Sacramento got the bid because they deserve it. Nashville is a different story.

You're correct, but the other side is that MLS is also waiting to see if Sacramento can get some financial backing after 2 big owners dropped.

Man, if FCC doesn't get in this time and Nashville does have to come to Nippert, that will be one energetic game. Actually, even if FCC gets the bid, people still aren't very fond that Nashville just walked in and stole the show without having to field a professional team.

Gotta love the smaller schools starting to improve. Hopefully St. Pats can make some noise later in the year!

I’m very happy with how the season ended. From getting smacked at home to UVA to MWC champs and a solid bowl win.
