After watching Mercer in the first 2 games this year I thought this might be an interesting game but the Titans inconsistent play down the stretch have many of us scratching our heads as to what has happened to this bunch. Have these teams played since the playoff game that Mercer won at Rebel stadium?

Boyle will very likely see LexCath again in the third round. I would be surprised if Boyle pulls away in this second meeting like they did Friday night. If the Rebels get past the Knights a second time then the matchup would likely be E-town who is playing there best ball of the season too. Might even give E-town a slight edge if the game is played on their home field.

Do out of state teams count?

If Casey Co. were to pull of the upset of the season where would they land in the top 10?

Boyle by a bunch. Anxious to see if Wandale can be more affective than Brents for Waggoner. Western Hills has a few more weapons so you can't just key one player in this one.

Gets real for the Rebels this Friday. Would love to see Casey win this one but it would take a perfect game for them and a total meltdown for Corbin

I can see this one coming down to the last possession. Danville 31 LCA 30.

#28 for LexCath - I think his last name was Brown must have had 20 tackles or more. Kid flew to the ball and finished the job when he got there. Overall the Knights did a much better job of tackling than they did against Western Hills. I was disappointed with the offensive line cheap shot tactics though. I know the refs saw what I did and they let it go for way to long. After Boyles #73 Kelly retaliated and got flagged for it they finally seemed to get it under control but it went on for way to long before the officials did anything about it.

Boyle controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Both O lines did a good job of pass protection but Boyles big 3 stifled the run game for LC. Holding penalties were Boyles biggest area of concern.

Somerset didn't get going in the first half against Danville. The Ads may have coasted a little in the second half and let the score get closer than the game was. I think LCA is going to score a lot and in a hurry. It will be harder to come out in the second half and compete if your down by 35 to 40. Somerset has to find a way to keep it close in the first half.

Don't see the loss to Corbin as a negative at all. I thought Corbin was the favorite going into that game anyway and don't think any of the 2A contenders would have done much better.

This will be the closest game E-town plays until 3rd round of the playoffs. That said they still win by 30+.

A really good defense does not give up 46 to Wagner!

There are no words meaningful enough to express the loss of a life so young. My heart goes out to his family, friends and teammates.

Corbin by a bunch.

Boyles offense laid an egg against Danville. They have since played no one with a defense as fast as Danville's. Wayne and Collins had good defensive play but not fast. LexCath has not show the ability to fly around and cause confusion for the opposing teams offense consistently if at all but its district play now and they always seem to rise to the occasion when district play starts. If Boyle doesn't make the mental mistakes they did against Danville ( like multiple motion and offside penalties sometimes 2 or 3 downs in a row) I think they win a close 7 to 10 point game. But to many self inflicted wounds and the losing streak to LexCath will continue.

FD is a different team than the one the lost to Danville to start the season. But will the issues surrounding the head coach keep them from continuing to improve? If they play well I think the first half could be interesting with Scott Co. pulling away in the second half.

Don't see Somerset scoring enough points to win this one. Danville by 3 scores in a game that seems closer than the score refects.

If Garrard doesn't develop a good passing game this week they may not score against Hatter, Paycheck, Kelly and the rest of the Boyle defense.

A few to many good athletes for Lex Cath against Western Hills and RunDale.

I think this is a good example of two teams trending in opposite directions. Mercer needs to play far better than they did against East Jess or they get beat again.
