Class 3A

Boyle County is starting to become one of the the favorite contenders for the State Title. Before Boyle could legitimize those claims they first needed to get over the hump against Lexington Catholic. The Rebels did so in emphatic fashion and now focus on Western Hills and WanDale Robinson. Elizabethtown, Belfry, and Fleming County all essentially wrapped up a District Title. Corbin is still one of very few teams with some heavy lifting left to do. The Redhounds handled Bell County with ease but will have to take down undefeated Casey County to secure the District Championship.

1. Belfry at Pike County Central

2. Corbin vs. #8 Casey County

3. Boyle County vs. #9 Western Hills

4. Elizabethtown vs. Bardstown

5. Central at Thomas Nelson

6. Caldwell County -- OPEN

7. Lexington Catholic vs. Garrard County

8. Casey County at #2 Corbin

9. Western Hills at #3 Boyle County

10. Fleming County at Pendleton County

If Casey Co. were to pull of the upset of the season where would they land in the top 10?

Have to think they'd surpass Lexington Catholic. A win over Corbin is top-notch, something Catholic couldn't do against Boyle. I'd guess they'd pass Caldwell, too, since Caldwell has no wins as good as a hypothetical win over Corbin. And obviously they'd pass Corbin. So I'd probably slot them around the #5 position (behind Belfry, Boyle, E'town, and Central) assuming all other results played out as expected.

I think Corbin brings Casey Co. back to earth this weekend, Casey Co. is pretty good but hasn't faced anything like Corbin to date. Bell County is the only team with a winning record on their schedule. I just don't see it happening.
