The field looks so much better with NCC's new branding and logos. I love it when any school has its own unique branding identity instead of using a knock-off college/pro team.

Based on the recent investment in Toyota and the growth of Georgetown, I don't see Scott County in 5A much longer.

Why would Chirico leave GRC for Montgomery County? The only thing I can think of is having an easier district and being in Class 5A.

The Paris Greyhounds (7-4) upset the defending 1A state champions of Sayre 14-10 on Friday. It was an unexpected result, now the RPI has pitted these 1 and 4 re-seeds against each other. Raceland (10-1) defeated Nicholas County 49-22.Previous meetings:

Bracken County is 0-2 in the second round (2017, 2024) of their 22-year history. They faced Breathitt County in the first round of the 2023 playoffs, losing 46-26. A nagging hamstring injury has kept him mostly sidelined since their second game of the season. A 4,000 yard rusher coming into his senior year, I'm hoping Tarter can get healthy for the playoffs.The Polar Bears make the trek to Pikeville. Like last year, Beechwood’s speed is what killed Bracken County. But Bracken at least put up a fight last year. That’s why every punt and kick they tried to make go out of bounds, because they gave up I think two punt/kick returns for touchdowns and the others they got significant yards.I did as well. Even without Tarter, you still have the same guys blocking that have done pretty well all year. At least this game is preparing them for Pikeville next week. ?Bracken County manages a couple yards on the first drive and that’s it. Punt to the 20, an unsportsmanlike puts Beechwood at the 10.Daulton Tarter is out again.I don’t think you can use a rating system that you have to pay for and has private calculation formula. It just doesn’t sound right for the state organization to use the formula of a random guy from California, no matter how good it is. While I think CalPreps is the best, it just doesn’t sound reasonable.
