  1. I believe the original person turned it down.
  2. I created a schedule matrix of every game in Boone, Kenton, and Campbell County. You can download the full resolution version on Twitter. What game will you watch each Friday?
  3. In early February, an administrator attended every practice and game. Even the game at Lyon County. The AD who attended these has since resigned.
  4. Probably didn’t want to get hit in the face with basketball.
  5. A lot of schools have an interlocked block letter logo.
  6. BASEBALL Inaugural 10th Region Baseball All-Star Game ends with walk-off The first ever 10th Region Baseball All-Star game ended in dramatic fashion on Wednesday night at George Rogers Clark High School. The game featured the best players from the 37th and 38th Districts vs. the 39th and 40th Districts. Despite a slight rain delay, Team 39/40 came away with 4-3 walk-off win after putting up two runs in the bottom of the 7th inning. Pictures from the game are available at 10thRegion.com/photos. Team 39/40 was the home team and got on the board early in the bottom of the 1st and led 1-0. Clay Estes started off with a single and advanced to third after wild pitches. Landon Scilley drove in the run after sacrifice fly to right-field. Team 37/38 answered back in the top of the 2nd. Evan Clark started off with a stand-up double and Cameron White walked, putting runners on first and second with no outs. Both runners advanced into scoring position after a passed ball. Colin Combs singled left-center scoring Evan Clark and tying the game 1-1. Ryan Johnson started off the 3rd inning by hitting a line drive to left-field that hit three feet from the top of the fence. With Johnson on second, Race Zachary singled for him to score giving Team 37/38 the 2-1 lead. The rain started pouring down in the middle of the 3rd inning causing a delay. Despite being rivals in the 37th District, Bishop Brossart and Campbell County players engaged in a friendly game of fungo golf during the rain delay. The game resumed after about 30 minutes and was still playable thanks to GRC’s turf field. The game was originally scheduled to be 9 innings, but was shortened to 7 after they delay. On to the top of the 4th, Elijah Harris started things off with a two-out walk. Harris walked twice in the game at the lead-off spot and led the region in walks this season. Harris stole second and third base and Ethan Verst walked, putting runners on first and second. Ethan Verst had delayed steal to second, causing the catcher to throw down to second, allowing Elijah Harris to steal home. Team 37/38 extended their lead 3-1. Landon Scilley started off the bottom of the 5th with a single. After a stolen base and wild pitch, he moved to third. Brodie Shaw singled on the right side to score Scilley and cut the lead to 3-2. Down to the bottom of the 7th inning, Team 39/40 was down to their final three outs down by one run. George Rogers Clark senior Jake Sears came up to bat for the last time on his home field. On his 19th birthday, Jake Sears hit a game-tying solo homerun to tie the game 3 in the bottom of the 7th inning. The next three batters would walk, loading the bases for another GRC player, Caden Spicer. The junior would hit curving fly ball down the right-field line, scoring Clay Estes. Team 39/40 would defeat Team 37/38 in walk-off fashion by a score of 4-3. 7. In two years everything will be back as if the Reeds were not there. It will be the same talent level regardless. Just the way I look at it.
  8. Number of players will probably increase, despite having three transfer out. They will get more than that back who were not going to play or have quit in the past.
  9. Saw this conversation on @Colonels_Wear_Blue's Twitter. Got me thinking...
  10. Here is the schedule Coach Reed had mad before leaving. Hopefully they can get out of some of these contracts. - @ Covington Catholic - Pendleton County - Augusta - King of the Bluegrass Tournament - Campbell County - vs. Calvary Christian (All A) - vs. Corbin (at S. Laurel) - Harrison County - @ Fleming County - Walton-Verona - vs. Newport (at Augusta) - Great Crossing - Lexington Catholic
  11. Apparently delayed a year. $1 million or so over budget. Doubt it happens.
  12. At least Augusta and Bracken are getting along well. Not many schools would let their rival practice in their gym for free.
  13. The ironic part is, Augusta has been using Bracken County’s gym this summer while their gym floor is being renovated. So, Augusta’s boys basketball team is practicing in Bracken’s gym, while Bracken’s boys are not.
