The Paris Greyhounds (7-4) upset the defending 1A state champions of Sayre 14-10 on Friday.  It was an unexpected result, now the RPI has pitted these 1 and 4 re-seeds against each other.  Raceland (10-1) defeated Nicholas County 49-22.

But, I am proud of Class 1A District 6:  Raceland, Paris and Nicholas County have represented the district well this season.

Raceland was run heavy in the first match-up with Stiltner rushing for 173 yards and 4 TDs and Arnette rushing for 123 yards and another TD.  Waller was 5/7 passing. 

Wonder if Raceland comes out passing this time around?  

Congrats to Paris on the upset over Sayre, but Raceland will roll in this one setting up a heavyweight clash with Pikeville. 

In the first meeting, Paris had some nice players making plays. 

Braylon Francis was 6/8 passing with 1 INT, he threw for 98 yards and Zaion Snowden was his primary receiving, catching 4 passes for 79 yards.  

RaZamadi Bell rushed 7 times for 95 yards.  

Paris had one take-a-way by Brandon Santiago on a fumble recovery.  

What does Paris have to do to make it two upsets in a row? 

There were rumors of some post-game shenanigans involving Paris' coaching staff. I'll be interested to see if those happen again.
