Shelby County 98 Johnson Central 92 (2OT)
Pretty standard line for him from what I've seen over his career. All time green light. Remember at Rupp he hit one and then shot a corner 3 off the side of the goal. Then a 35 footer next trip down. That's just how they play. Guessing the "7 footer" they got isn't doing much more than rebounding?

EYBL is out of KY
Agreed on many of your points and Coach Mahorn is an outstanding coach. The biggest issue the last couple of years has been when the staff had problems getting the top talent in the state to commit and stay with them. Ray Spaulding quit half way through his 17u season. They didn't have Aric Holman, Quentin Goodin or Eli Wright and they all ended up High major talent. Ultimately there are probably too many AAU programs in Kentucky. While we are seeing an abundance of talent lately, they are often divided across multiple programs. Not including kids who go out of state for AAU.

EYBL is out of KY
Made the Peach Jam the first two years they were in Kentucky. Went something like 3-15 the third year and worse than that last year with a 16u only. I still think Kentucky has the talent to put together a competitive EYBL team but more and more talent keeps leaving the state for AAU.

Berkmar (GA) 83 Bowling Green 66
The best Ky kids continually go up against the best kids in Georgia in the spring and summer. I'm sure that Peyton Broughton, David Johnson, Tavin Lovan, Andrew Taylor etc have all played Atlanta Celtics, Georgia Stars, Atlanta Xpress, etc over their AAU seasons. I do take your point about unrealistic talent evaluation though. Take some kid getting 30 points per game in the mountains and drop him in suburban Atlanta and he's a JV player and not a "D1 prospect".

Camron Justice Tranferring
He'll have plenty of D1 suitors if he wants to keep playing at that level.

Bourbon County 66 Montgomery County 57
Montgomery really needs Jones back. Anyone know when he'll play?

Lexington Catholic 59 Scott County 55
Looks like Luke Johnson was the best player on the floor.

Lexington Catholic 76 Doss 65 (OT)
Agree with your point. It's hard to rely on one kid to get most of your buckets. And it's not like he's playing somewhere like Nicholas County where one kid needs to take most of the shots. Lots of talent at Doss.

Fern Creek 65 Trinity 61
At this point, Fern Creek is the heavy favorite in the 6th. Schooler has gone from a good developer of talent and turned into a good game coach. There were times in the past that I wasn't sure he was more than a "ra ra" guy on the bench but he has really improved as an in-game coach.

Lexington Catholic 76 Doss 65 (OT)
I've only seen Doss once this year but I was not impressed at all.

De'Von Cooper ruled ineligible
Believe he played his last game at HP on December 21st of last year
-
Corbin 78 Lexington Catholic 75
From what I've been hearing, he may be coaching to keep his job past this season.

Who is playing point for Pulaski? Butt?

Simon Kenton/Mason County Updates
How's the Kelch/Perkins matchup going?

Pulaski County at Trinity Updates
I thought he was a football kid. Is Trinity not playing football anymore?

KHSAA Eligibility Question
Am I supposed to drive up to the KHSAA offices and say "Hey guys the AD is blatantly ignoring these grades because he only cares about winning but they've played an ineligible kid all year"? Even if they did believe me, the AD would just refute it.

Pulaski County at Trinity Updates
Trinity is missing David Johnson, right?

KHSAA Eligibility Question
I know for a fact that a starter on a recent state championship team was ineligible all season academically but they kept playing him.

2016/2017 11th Region Season Preview
Based on this post and previous posts, you're obviously fishing to see why a certain Junior guard at Lex Cath was not included on this list. So just come out and say it.

Courier-Journal's Preseason Poll
I prefer the Boyle backcourt of Alexander and Slone if we're looking for breakout players in the 12th.

Courier-Journal's Preseason Poll
Mercer will only go as far as Trevon takes them. When I saw them this summer, they couldn't score unless it was Trevon getting the bucket. Kurt Young is a really good coach BUT Coach Cook is a really good HS coach and X/O guy. He does a great job of misdirection and stuff like that in quick hitters to get kids open looks and driving angles. That's where I think Mercer will miss him the most.

How good is Bowling Green going to be?
I thought he was supposed to be a football stud, not a basketball one?

How good is Bowling Green going to be?
Assuming the Harmon kid isn't as selfish as he's portrayed to be, they'll be state champs. However Zion Harmon has a rep for not playing well with others.

I thought you were a Casey County fan? How are they looking since the coach bolted?
