Open Job: Mercer County
Great coach. Wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to get back to Kentucky.

I rest my case.

Open Job: Mercer County
The Mercer parents have been an issue for a long time. It doesn't take long for them to run someone off.

Bolus Rankings????
The top 3 players in both the 2017 and 2018 rankings are Louisville Magic players which is what I think was being insinuated

Top 10 transfers this offseason
His excellent shooting was showcased by going 0-1 from 3 for the EYBL season last year. 17 EYBL games. 1 three point attempt. Unless of course the EYBL stats were wrong. You obviously don't know much about basketball if you're basing a kid's potential off of dunks. There are great dunkers at every level of college basketball. Tavin is a nice player and would be great somewhere like Kentucky Wesleyan for 4 years. I just am not taking him ahead of kids like Jaylen Sebree, Pedro Bradshaw, Peyton Broughton and David Sloan. Tavin can have all the highlight dunks you want but eventually he's going to have to make a jump shot in college.

Isaiah Tisdale to Vincennes University
It's Jeremiah Tisdale going to GC. Jeremiah is Pun's older brother.

Top 10 transfers this offseason
Tavin Lovan is a good HS player on a mediocre HS team. I'm not sure he will be much of a college player. He can't shoot and won't be able to thrive in college without a jumpshot. He may be best suited as a lockdown defender at the next level. Chance Moore may actually make Fern Creek worse. He's not a big fan of sharing the basketball or the spotlight. That team had really good chemistry. If Chance can buy in to the culture at FC, he could put them over the top.

Montgomery County 2019 Brennan Canada Picks Up Offer
It's Brennan, not Breenan.
-
John Hardin 2016/2017
Matt Miller graduating is a huge plus. He had a Mason Faulkner type of shot selection without anywhere near the shot making ability. John Hardin was hurt by him all year long.

Hopkinsville 2016/2017
James Nicholas tore his ACL in summer ball.

Hopkinsville 2016/2017
Hopkinsville will be very, very small.

Bolus Rankings????
Rick Bolus is still alive. And he clears about $150k off of a month of camps. I'd say he's brilliant lol

Open Job: George Rogers Clark
When I was a teacher, there was an out clause for either the teacher or the school system to terminate the contract within the first two weeks of school starting.

Trace Young Transfers to N Hardin
Probably because I've never heard it. Fill us in.

J-Town Loses Two Players to 22 Feet Academy
I've seen both play. Neither is very good. Cunningham is a great athlete I'm confident neither will be getting a scholarship to 22 Foot. They'll be paying

Ky Premier AAU?
Yes but Premier is known for quality, not quantity. I'll be more interested to see if they (you) can start to get some of the better kids in the state.

Ky Premier AAU?
I'm interested to see how their boys team develops. Didn't hear much about them this year.

Cooper's Sean McNeil Picks Up Offer
Would think he guarded several D1 2 guards this summer with Hoop Dreams.
-
Trace Young Transfers to N Hardin
As far as eligibility goes, he's 18 (19 in December) so he can probably just move wherever he wants and be eligible
-
Trace Young Transfers to N Hardin
And also went from Louisville Magic to Hoop Dreams to Team Thad to Magic again. He's been around a bit.

2018 Guard Trevon Faulkner (Mercer County)
Zero chance you graduate what they did and get better. I watched Mercer play some summer ball in June and unless Trevon is scoring, it's hard for them to get a bucket.

Top players in the 5th region!
Every time I see something about that Max Ryan game against Bullitt East, someone has added 4 points and 2 rebounds. At last check he had 48 points and 21 rebounds.

Basketball Scholarship Offers
Schools may offer a kid early based on their potential but by the time signing day rolls around, that offer is no longer valid. I've coached kids in the past who got multiple D1 offers but by the time it came to sign the paperwork, they may only have 1 or 2 choices. I had a kid 2 years ago that got an offer from an in state school after the first weekend in July. The offer came from an assistant. The head coach came and watched the kid each of the next two weeks and they stopped recruiting the kid because he "didn't play hard enough". The kid wound up still getting his college paid for through basketball so all is well, but that's an example. Additionally, they may only have a certain number of offers for position groups. If Samford has 2 guard spots to fill in 2018, they already took the commitment from Wales so they will only take one more guard. They've probably offered 8-10 other guards in 2018. First to commit gets it. Everyone else is still in the market and looking for a a school. Hope that helps.

JC Hawkins - SK - 2017 Recruting
I disagree with your last statement. To play on a shoe circuit, you can't have just a decent handle. If you're playing on something like that TYBA nonsense then you can get away with it. No PG on EYBL, UAA or Adidas Gauntlet has just a "decent" handle.

9th Region Top 10 Players 2016/2017
I realize I'm in the vast minority but I don't think CVH is going to be a good college player. He used to be a lockdown defender who couldn't shoot outside the elbow and now he's added bad weight and can't guard athletes. He'll finish a fine HS career but I think McNeil, Kunkel and Frederick are all better right now and will be much better college players. CVH peaked as a sophomore, maybe even as a freshman. I realize this thread is about who will be the best this year and he's definitely top 5. But I don't think he's the best player on his own HS team at this point.
