Fundamentally opposed to this whole “best ever” discussion. The ‘17 team was spectacular. To say the ‘87 D couldn’t cover any of the ‘17 weapons is inaccurate. I’ll stop at that.

Not sure if you would count the Ivy’s as D1. If so, Mike Wilson, Paul Hladon, Scott Spivey and Brian Williams were also part of the ‘87 team. I believe all lettered as well.

Wonder about his status as a baseball prospect. If he’s a true 4.6 guy with pop in his bat, he’d make for an attractive corner outfielder. Hit cleanup for CCH as a Soph.

Dan is a Highlands grad. Grew up in Kenton Co, but made the understandable decision to go to Highlands to play hoops for Uncle Kenny. There are 4 Shields boys in Dan’s family - the oldest went to CCH, the two middle boys (including Dan) went to HHS and the youngest to CCH.

But, employing your logic, Cov Cath’s Home court advantage is worth 25+ points. I highly doubt it. The only way to know who’s better is to lace em up and go head to head. Fern Creek is quick, poised, long and can flat shoot the rock. Very impressive. 70 points on CCH isn’t easy. The games today should be awesome.
