  1. Not the running clock that the geniuses predicted, but a resounding win for a really good team. Hats off to FD. Go win state!
  2. Cov Cath 7th Grade won the championship tonight, 8-7, over Campbell Co. Heckuva football game played by two pretty good teams. Fun to watch.
  3. Quite possible. Note that CCH played 13 games in 1998, so an average of 24.5/game. Regardless, that was a lot of totes - reminiscent of the halcyon days of the Boone Co tailbacks.
  4. I wonder what the school record is for carries in a game? I don’t recall a Colonel back with as many. Great performance in a big game.
  5. Eviston is now 7-1 vs Beechwood since arriving in Park Hills. Only one of CCH’s victories during this time was by less than 17 points.
  6. Great win! It was a lot of fun to watch the Colonels play tough, physical football and impose their will. Sound game plan on both sides of the ball. Very satisfying win, on a multitude of levels.
  7. Whatever…next man up. No one feels sorry for CCH. Hope he heals fast, but you gotta move on. Big test on Friday.
  8. I guess it’s tough when you’re gettin smoked. Enjoy the whoopin, lil colonels.
  9. Running clock…stay healthy, both teams. Live to fight another day.
  10. I’m a fan of traditional powers. In my humble opinion, football in NKY/Greater Cincinnati is better when Moeller is a powerhouse. Nice to see Princeton rising as well. Princeton v Moeller used to be THEE game to see in Cincinnati. Maybe we’ll see that matchup in the postseason, this year.
  11. Happy for Coach Warner and the Boone Co kids. He’s certainly worked very hard to bring energy, hope and purpose to the program. Cool to see!
  12. The beat goes on for CCH… Congrats Coach Satz! His run of 9th Region dominance continues.
  13. …and apparently, NO ONE from Cooper was interested in scoring in the fourth quarter.
  14. Highlands likes to “turn it up” to 212 degrees - aka, water’s boiling point.
  15. “I’ve got a lot of problems with you people and now you’re gonna hear about it…”
  16. Just spitballin... Maybe, the coaches are well aware of the risks they're taking, regarding health and perception. They've likely weighed those risks against the benefits derived from how they manage a game (and season). As far as the rest of NKY goes, let's be real honest; the list of grievances against CCH is almost limitless. Let's not pretend that if CCH pulled all of their starters at the end of Q3, that CCH would suddenly be loved and lauded by all parts of NKY.
