  2. A team in the 5th region just got better for the next two years.
  3. Hearing both players who was suspended for ejection from Etown and Central are now elgible. That it got overturned
  4. He also brings an offense that will really excite the community.
  5. Amazing hire for Adair. They are used to getting guys with no head coaching experience, where stonebraker has had success at a school like Casey which is comparable to Adair.
  6. School has officially confirmed Stonebraker to AC it is.
  7. Working to confirm, if so A+ hire for a school like Adair.
  8. Hearing a name that would be an A+ hire but we will see what happens.
  9. Coach Van Issacs resigned this week after a disappointing year. He coached 4 years at Adair with a record of 14-24. Positive news for Adair they only graduate two starters this year.
  10. The QB from Casey should be an all state guy this year. He has put up insane numbers this year.
  11. I actually do not know. Just saw them post that on Twitter. Like it was said before Cville is a very young team.
  12. Dale Estes became all time wins leader at Cville tonight.
  13. It is good quality 2 out of every 10 games.
  14. It’s a shame too cause the game was a fun one to watch until all the flags game. Glasgow is a really good football team and Adair is much improved just doesn’t have the athletes Glasgow has. Won’t be surprised if these two teams play each other again this year.
  15. Any idea how long Myers is out for Glasgow. Jessie Is a nice QB for his age but Myers really adds a lot to the offense with his athleticism.
  16. So like the Lawrence County situation if one player or coach test positive does that mean the whole team has to quarantine for two weeks every time? If that is the case I am not sure how that is plausible because there will be some positive tests on different teams throughout the state if not all. I don't see how a full season would be even close to possible.
  17. is one of the sherrards out for the year as I have seen one of them hasn't played in awhile for Etown.
  18. Did one of Bethlehem’s best players transfer to Etown? I heard she did but not for sure.
  19. Opening Round 1-Walton Verona 1-John Hardin 1-Owensboro 1-Trinity 1-Scott County 1-Butler 1-Madisonville-North Hopkins 1-Warren Central Semi Finals 2- John Hardin 2-Trinity 2-Scott County 2-Madisonville-North Hopkins Finals 3-Trinity 3- Scott County 2019 Sweet 16 Champion 5- Trinity TB-119
  20. Season Recap The John Hardin Bulldogs amazing season continues as they are still undefeated as they ended up winning the 5th Region for the second straight year. The Bulldogs are the first team since Clay County in 1989 to enter the State Tournament undefeated. This was a team who wasn’t even picked to win their region at the start of the year and they have proved everyone wrong. Going into Rupp Arena they will have a record of 35-0. They average 73 points per game while they give up 54 points per game. The balance of John Hardin is why they are such a tough team to beat. They are one of the best rebounding teams in the State. This is a team who has blew out teams but also won games at the buzzer. They like to really pressure opponents on defense and try to make them uncomfortable. They have been down before in the second half and it never seems to bother them. They defeated Taylor County 62-51 in the region finals to win the 5th Region. At Rupp Arena they will be playing 10th region winner Campbell County who in the latest BGP Poll were ranked 8th in the state. This should be one of the better first round games. Starting Five Jachai Walker 6’0 PG Senior- Walker is averaging 9.5 points per game. He is their most consistent three-point shooter as he is shooting 37 percent from the three-point line. He is a player you don’t hear a lot about, but he always does his job and makes the Bulldogs go. For the point guard spot, he also rebounds well. Aaron Scott 6’0 SG Senior- Scott was second on the team in points averaging 14.5 points per game. Scott is an elite athlete who will make plays during the game that really makes your jaw drop. He can be an affective shooter as well as he is streaky when it comes to shooting. His driving game has got better as he has had a great Senior year. Trevon Harris 6’3 SF Junior- Harris averaged 13.3 points per game while being second on the team averaging 9.1 rebounds per game. Harris who is a slasher shoots an amazing 59.8 percent from the field. He has really come on this year and has been great for the Bulldogs. With his length he is also an elite defender to go along with a great driver on offense. Alex Matthews 6’4 PF Junior- Matthews is the Bulldogs best player and he’s proven it all year. He leads the team in points by averaging 17.5 points per game and leads the team with 10.9 rebounds per game. He shot an amazing 62.2 percent from the field this year. He has developed a good midrange game this year. Defensively he can guard multiple positions which shows his versatility. Matthews is a heck of a high school basketball player and his energy never stops. Preston Murrell 6’9 C Junior- Murrell averages 8.6 points per game and averages 5.9 rebounds per game. Murrell has improved tremendously since last year as he has become a big weapon for the Bulldogs inside. When he gets the ball deep down low there isn’t much you can do to stop him with his size. The big guy is also a good free throw shooter for his size.
  21. Even with a loss good to see Traynor come into his own to end the year. Expecting a big senior year for him next year.
  22. Goode was out with a illness. Since they don't play until Friday I would expect him to be back for that game.
  23. I think the Central Taylor game tonight could be a good one. I am really excited to watch that game tonight.
  24. If I had to predict I would say it will be Larue vs John. I would be very surprised if it didn't come down to the end once again.
  25. The 5th Region Tournament is here, and it looks to be an exciting Tournament this year. Hart County is hosting Region this year. There are two teams who are ranked in the top 10 of the state that will be playing in the 5th Region Tournament. By Saturday night we will know who will be representing the 5th Region at Rupp Arena. 1. John Hardin (32-0): The Bulldogs won the 17th district this last week as they remain undefeated. They beat North Hardin 82-54, and then beat Central Hardin 63-48 in the district championship. What a magical season it has been so far, but they still have more work to do. This is the most balanced team in the 5th Region as all 5 starters can be the leading scorer on any given night. Alex Matthews has been incredible all year and Aaron Scott has been there go to guard all year. They got a great draw and if they aren’t at least in the Region finals it would be a huge surprise. They have won in all ways this year so don’t be surprised if they end up cutting down the nets Saturday. 2. Larue County (25-4): The Hawks won the 18th district this last week. They opened the district beating Caverna 87-57 and beat Hart County 73-45 in the district championship. The Hawks have been waiting all year to get back to the regional tournament. They were one possession away last year from winning region and they want to make that nightmare go away this year. They have had a good year and they are led by big man Mark Goode and Anthony Adkins who overpowers most teams they play. Larue will be hoping that Saturday they get a regional final rematch with John Hardin and this time they end up cutting down the nets. 3. Central Hardin (19-9): The Bruins got runner up in the 17th district this last week. They beat Elizabethtown 67-54, and lost to John Hardin 63-48 in the district championship. The Bruins have had a good year and they have been a 5th region contender all year. They have lost three region games all year and all three has been to John Hardin. Jacob Hobbs is the guy for Central as he won region player of the year, however the Bruins have a lot of other nice pieces around him. Central plays Taylor first round which is probably the most anticipated first round match up. Centrals road is tough, but they are good enough if they play their best ball to have a chance to win the region. 4. Taylor County (21-7): The Cardinals won the 20th district this last week. They beat Campbellsville 79-75, and beat Marion County 71-58 in the district championship. They have had a great bounce back year after last year. They are a team with seniors who have played in the big moments, and three of the starters have won a region title. Trevon Smith is their best player as he is their go to guy when they need a bucket. They did get a very tough draw as they would most likely have to play Central Hardin, Larue County, and John Hardin to win region. They do have a great first round match up, and the Hobbs vs Smith match up will be awesome to watch. 5. Marion County (21-8): The Knights got runner up in the 20th district this last week. They beat Adair County 89-50 and lost to Taylor County 71-58 in the district championship. Losing the district championship at home is disappointing but the Knights have had a good year. They are a junior led team as their three best players are all Juniors. Tyshay Epps has been the guy and has improved a lot this year. They will play Bardstown again who they beat first game of the year, but if they beat them they will most likely have to play the region favorite John Hardin. 6. Bardstown (15-15): The Tigers won the 19th district for the sixth straight year this last week. They beat Thomas Nelson 76-57, and beat Washington County 72-62 in the district championship. The Tigers have been up and down all year but the past two weeks they have played their best basketball. They are led by JaRel Montgomery but lately they have got more help from Jayden Traynor as well. They will play Marion County who they lost to earlier but if the Tigers play like they have the Knights will have their hands full. 7. Washington County (19-12): The Commanders got runner up in the 19th district this last week. They beat Nelson County 63-60 and lost to Bardstown 72-62 in the district championship. The Commanders have struggled to end the year, but this has been a great year still. This is a senior led team who has done a lot for the Washington County program. They are led by their two senior sharpshooters Cameron Willis, and Drew Yates. Bad news is they drew Larue County, for them to have a chance they will have to make a lot of threes to cancel out LaRue’s easy buckets. 8. Hart County (10-18): The Raiders got runner up in the 18th district this last week. They beat Green County 79-72 and lost to Larue County 73-45 in the district championship. Harts record is misleading because of the injury to their best player in which they lost all seven games he was out. Since Shoulders has been back they have played well and have had a good year making region. They are hosting region, but they drew the region favorite John Hardin. 5th Region Draw Monday: 5:00 CST Washington County vs Larue County 7:30 CST Central Hardin vs Taylor County Tuesday: 5:00 CST Marion County vs Bardstown 7:30 CST Hart County vs John Hardin Friday: 5:00 CST Semifinal #1 7:45 CST Semifinal #2 Saturday: 6:00 CST Championship
