John Hardin 75 Elizabethtown 72

Even though E'town lost, you have to believe they are for real.

Agree

Elizabethtown is very disciplined and coach James Haire at Elizabethtown is the best coach in Region 5. While John Hardin has more athletes and size on the court at any given time, you come away from the first 2 games thinking that Elizabethtown is the better team. They were down by 25 in the first half, John Hardin got sloppy with possessions and Elizabethtown came storming back. Both team missed a ton of free throws down the stretch. Only time will tell who comes out of Region 5. I am sure Bardstown will be a player in determining the Region 5 champion.

Do you think MArion County or Larue County has a chance to upset either team?

Anything is possible but not probable. John Hardin misses a ton of free throws, gets sloppy with the ball at times but has superior athletes and size to overcome and mask these deficiencies. Elizabethtown guard play is superior to John Hardin but they lack size inside. All Elizabethtown is missing is a big man inside and they would be dominant, oh by the way, most if not all Elizabethtown starters are underclassmen.

Elizabethtown mounted a furious comeback to almost win this game. Must of been a great game by both teams, and should only get better with possibly two more meetings this year.

It's hard for me to back that when your next statement is that they were down 25 in the first half.

I think Larue County is very dangerous with two 6'7 kids in the middle and the shooting on the perimeter. Marion County I'm not sold on due to their lack of shooting and incosistency.

Was thinking the exact same thing.

is one of the sherrards out for the year as I have seen one of them hasn't played in awhile for Etown.

Elizabethtown could not hit anything in the first half, was down big , turned up the pressure and intensity in the second half and almost beat John Hardin in the last 2 minutes of the game. Poor free throw shooting and a questionable charging call under the basket doomed them. I have talked with at least 10 people at the game last night and ALL agree that Elizabethtown did not play their best game and still had a chance at the end. John Hardin is ranked 3rd and Elizabethtown 13th. All I am saying is that the disparity isn't that large.
