    Ohio County finished 5th in their district so has to come be the 4th place team in another district that only has 3 teams. Hoping for safe travels for Ohio County kids because the actual game will not be fun.

    They probably need to step back and look at what Barren County did in their scheduling and follow suit.

    Got a chance to catch this one despite the annoying rain. Lacey, Bush, and Spurrier were as good as advertised and that defense is one of the best I've seen at the high school level in a long time. Although it definitely wouldn't have changed the outcome, OC's #3 YaYa Gray didnt play in this one and not sure why. He's a difference maker for them being their best DB and 2nd leading WR on a night where Mills and Williams needed some help. Also, when the game was 14-6 OC lost #45 Harrington to an ejection and another DB got banged up early because I saw alot of little used reserves in the secondary for OC. Regardless I hope YaYa Gray and everyone else is healthy going forward. Good luck to SW, wouldn't surprise me one bit to see them winning their last game at Kroger Field this year.

    Looking forward to watching this one. South Warren is arguably one of the Top 3-5 teams in the state regardless of class right now and get to see them at Steele Stadium is awesome. You hear a lot about Lacy and Bush since they both are committed. Besides the QB, who are some other standout kids who can play at the next level for South Warren to look for in this one?

    I wouldn't care as much about them scheduling KHSAA schools for games but in no way should they be able to play in KHSAA sanctioned tournaments. Only the more talented KHSAA schools would probably even schedule them anyway so it could be good exposure and measuring stick for those schools.

    Always a great read! Good job P88!. With Saint X big win over Male, I kind of feel like all eyes will be on BG this week to see who comes out of this one.

    So do either one of these teams have a chance to beat who will be #2 in that district? If so, might be worth being the #3 seed and taking your chances on the road Week 1 and hoping for a rematch with McCracken in 2nd round. But then again you are just delaying the inevitable matchup with Trinity!

    @Purple88- Who all is in the Louisville District that crosses with this district this year? This could be a good one. Probably will come down to who can limit whose best player. Can Daviess County slow down Patterson or can Henderson limit Tinsley? I hear Daviess County is a little banged up and might not be at full strength, so that will hurt them.

    OC struggled a little bit at times in this one. Had 2 turovers in or near red zone . Hancock did a good job of controlling clock and took advantage of back to back personal fouls by OC to get set up for their TD. Hancock has a good looking QB that is a good runner. Broke a couple long runs to sustain some drives.

    From what I remember they have a lot of good athletes coming back that contributed last year. Has the Guthrie kid played much QB at all or defense and WR? Either way what they are doing offensively against their schedule has been impressive. West bracket of 2A is loaded once again this year.

    Owensboro Catholic didn't just win by a last second field goal. They had a run by Williams down to the Apollo 2 called back with 6 min left in 4th quarter that would have probably put them up 40-17. Next play they throw a pick and Apollo scores then gets an onside and scores again late. Apollo made a great comeback at the end to make it a ball game. McLean has got a tough football team this year. If this game was at McLean I'd be a little more leary but it's not and Owensboro Catholic's offense is finding their stride right now. I expect it to be tight early and maybe even just a two score game midway through the 3rd but eventually OC's playmakers will take over and pull away and win by 3-4 touchdowns.

    I am interested to see this game. McLean County has a good ball team who has a certain style that can give other teams fits and can be hard to prepare for. After the first few OC games this game concerned me a little more knowing that McLean Co is normally big and physical but the way OC oline and dline have played lately I'm not as concerned. I think it might be close early but eventually OC has too many playmakers on offense for McLean County to hang. OC 42 McLean County 13

    Where are all the Mayfield fans at this year? They have been a little quiet this year just beating up on everyone! Interested to hear their take on this game
