    South Warren proved themselves Week 1 against what most will consider a down John Hardin team... John Hardin nonetheless. I will be interested to see how Apollo comes out in this one. They were better than Muhlenberg and played like it. Can't say the same about the Spartans. I like Apollo to score early to make it interesting but South Warren to pull away with their depth and discipline. SW 35 Apollo 14

    I'm going to give the "Edge" to OC in this one due to the coaching staff and the combination of Zuberer/Morton/Garner which I think will be more game than Daviess Co's big 3. OC 49 DC 20

    2A 1-6 is by far the most competitive in the state IMO. I think I would have 1. DeSales and 1a. Mayfield. Both are reigning state champs with impressive wins in Week 1. I give the slight nod to DeSales just because they were the class champs last year. I really hope DeSales isn't overlooking CAL and Mayfield isn't overlooking Murray and OC. If all these teams stay healthy the 2 A playoffs should be a good one!

    I see these 2 teams playing each other again in the playoffs. I'm going to go with Bowling Green 28-14 in this one but you give Coach Loveless and those young skill kids more time to develop and a second crack at BG and the score could very well be flipped.

    All I know about DC is they have alot of Seniors and guys who have been playing and starting for several years. I heard their QB got an Elite 11 Regional invite and their big WR (name escapes me) is D1 talent. Let's put it this way if DC can't be competitive in this one then all that hype and talk I heard about them all summer should be stopped. 21-20 over ACS is a good road win but OC is capable of putting up points quick.

    2011 was the best team I remember in recent history. I think Dixon was the X factor that would have put them over the hump. Had the line and skill kids.

    2 A should be one of the most competitive classes especially within the Top 8 with DeSales and Mayfield as your front runners. 3 teams not to sleep on: Murray, Owensboro Catholic, and Shelby Valley out east.

    OC should pull away on Friday. LHC is usually a solid 1A school and has their QB back I believe from a team that won 7 straight last year. I predict a 42-13 win for OC. I think alot of people are overlooking the OC vs. Daviess Co game this year. I wouldn't dog OC's schedule too much. Their district is weak but they play 5A OHS, 5A Apollo, and 6A Daviess Co (who should be good this year) and picked up 6A (i think) North Hardin and South Spencer Indiana who is usually a hard nosed above .500 2A school in Indiana.

    Should be a great measuring stick for both of these teams out of the gate. Week 1 is a tricky week to predict matchups like this. I'm going to lean to SW just for the experience factor. 21-14 over John Hardin. But it should be a good one!

    How did Daviess look defensively? I know they have a QB and WR with alot of hype coming into the year.

    Should be another high scoring one between these 2. Between Cain and the 2 WR's from Christian (Kenner and Catlett.. I think) should be alot of good skilled kids in this one.

    Wouldn't surprise me if Lewis and company pull this one off. They seem to usually give Reitz a good game and I know Lewis circles this one every year.

    I heard the Morton kid didn't play for OC... didn't hear anything about the Henderson players being out but I heard they played 3 different QBs

    Christian has some good skill kids coming back.. but with Owensboro bumping up to 5A and returning alot it will be interested to see who wins that district. I just think Graves graduated too much. Whether it's Christian or Owensboro that 2nd rd matchup with B.G will probably be the best in the state that week.

    Zuberer is projected as D1 baseball player and I'm pretty sure that's the route he will go
