  1. I find it very hard for Madisonville to stay in the running in the 2nd Region in basketball unless Hoptown, Christian County, UHA, and Henderson lose a lot in the future. As for football, Madisonville will have to contend with the likes of Hoptown, Franklin-Simpson, and Warren East in 4A football in Western Kentucky. However, Madisonville's cause will be helped with South Warren's move to 5A.
  2. So is Reitz not in the running for the Casey County job?
  3. In any of these lists, I would add Russellville anywhere from 8-10. And a sleeper team to add would be Butler County.
  4. Is this due to Mr. Crutchfield? I maybe see the Sooners getting a pipeline of basketball talent from the Bluegrass State.
  5. Per yesterday's Kentucky New Era, after one season, Chris Sullivan has resigned as head basketball coach at Todd County Central to become an assistant coach at Hopkinsville. If I am not mistaken, the senior class for next year will have had four head basketball coaches in the past four seasons at Todd Central.
  6. To the best of my knowledge, here are the jobs that are still open as of today: 1. Paducah Tilghman 2, Ohio County 3. Whitefield Academy 4. Casey County 5. Dayton 6. Maysville St. Patrick I hope an updated list of job openings and hires can be posted on this thread.
  7. What D1 offers has Bright received so far?
  8. They have some talent, but not enough to make a difference with teams like Russellville, Owensboro Catholic, and Mayfield.
  9. No recent news on this. Todd Central will start their preseason practices this Monday night according to the Todd County standard from a couple of weeks ago,
  10. If the last game of the 2016 season will be between Todd Central and Logan County, it looks like a must see event with the drama being shown in this thread and in the Logan County thread.
  11. Any news on this job?
  12. Perhaps Milburn to Casey County?
  13. Has Stallworth officially left Casey County to go to Taylor County?
  14. Don't know that. As with any eligibility issues that get pretty dicey. Probably the same with the TSSAA as it is with the KHSAA.
  15. The people that live in South Guthrie live on the Tennessee side of the state line are going to school in Tennessee. There is a bigger majority of athletes that live on the Tennesse side compared to the Kentucky side. A good portion of people that live in the border area are minorities. Many of the high schools in the Clarksville area have a higher ratio of minority students, especially African-Americans than does Todd Central, which has a majority population of white students. Still there is a lot of African-American students at Todd Central, but not as many as there are in the Clarksville schools.
  16. If it is a young coach trying to get his or her foot in the door for not only football, but for all sports, yes it would be worth it, especially in the case of nepotism. There are people in Kentucky trying to shake this state's image of indulging in good ole boy politics where family members are hired for jobs, even if they are woefully unqualified.
  17. Broady is not the high school principal. He is the principal at Todd County Middle School. I wonder if there were any other finalists for this job other than Broady? If there and they knew this had happened, they could get a lawyer and sue the Todd County School District, the Todd Central principal, and the athletic director for making a hire based on nepotism.
  18. I didn't know that. Do you think Bruni would put his name in the hat for the BG job when the day comes when Wallace leaves or retires?
  19. What I remembered about Ben Bruni was he was bound and determined to come back to the Bowling Green area to coach, no matter how much would Todd Central do to keep him there. Coach Bruni's ultimate goal is to leave Warren East and to succeed Kevin Wallace as the head Purple when Wallace retires from BGHS or gets a big time coaching job either at the college level or at a big time high school job such as Trinity or Brentwood Academy.
  20. The Kentucky- Tennessee state line splits Guthrie into two towns. There is the town of Guthrie on the Kentucky side and the unincorporated town of South Guthrie on the Tennessee side. The kids in South Guthrie went to school at Clarksville Northeast High School when I was in school. But now with the rapid growth of Clarksville, kids in South Guthrie now go to Rossview High School in Clarksville and it is now the most recent top rated football program in Clarksville. There is talent on the roster at Todd Central, but usually not enough to make a difference,
  21. It is interesting that his athletic director wife stated that one of his strengths would be getting a foothold into the middle school kids that will be freshmen since they already have a relationship with him as their middle school principal.
  22. Here is the scoop on Les Broady, the new football coach at Todd Central, according to the June 22 edition of the Todd County Standard. Broady is the principal at Todd County Middle School and the husband of newly named athletic director at Todd Central, Marnie Broady. Started his coaching career from 1987-90 as an assistant at Glasgow. Was an assistant during the 1991 season at McLean County and joined the staff at Muhlenburg North in 1992. In 1996, Broady became head baseball coach and assistant football coach at Muhlenberg South HS. It looks like he had a little bit of big boy football experience from his time at Glasgow. However, he has never been a head football coach, but has head coaching experience on the diamond.
  23. According to the Todd County Standard from two weeks ago, Todd Central had a number of people to apply for this position from as far away as Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Missouri. If this is the best they do, it does not look good, even by Todd Central standards. With this not being announced in the media yet, maybe the principal and the school board are having second thoughts about this and hopefully veto this hire. The look of nepotism in this hire just reeks and maybe Todd Central a laughingstock in the Bluegrass.
  24. Some players to add from the western part of the state along with Rex Chapman- Clem Haskins Jim McDaniels Joe Fulks Also for a coach for a Kentucky Mt. Rushmore would have to be Ed Diddle.
  25. Who is he and what is his background?
