Who do you have for your best teams? I would rather read about that too. I have now heard or read rumors about Jefferson, Hicks and both Highlands big men playing up. It does make a difference in top teams but the topic has been beat to death for sure.

Jefferson is the young man from Newport. I'd have to say if he plans to go back for high school he likely won't be playing up this year.

I don't know the whole situation with Hicks playing for high school this year but I do know he is a talented kid and I hope he has great success in it this year and learns from it to make himself better.

Honestly too bad for him if he does go to CC. Simon Kenton has become a powerhouse in that can get players college looks. He will get lost at CC with not enough talent around him.

Hammick is also only being coming back he NKY Middle School league not all NKY RB's, Unions is best in class.

He is honestly just a true 8th grader, not older or younger. You are right that you should be 13 turning 14 during your 8th grade year. The old back ages you are saying is exactly why AAU basketball put their new age limits in last year. Too many hold backs 15 in 8th grade playing against 13 year olds. Regardless, England is a great player and being in NKY I look forward to see what he does in high school. His future should be bright.

Every coach makes mistakes, because he is willing to admit to some of them you want to say he should coach mid tier teams? I would rather have somebody that is willing to admit it and look to get better as a coach than someone with too much ego that they are not open. My son does not play for SSSGODWIN but has before. He is not a mid tier coach. My son credits him fully with helping him get better at very advanced fundamental basketball and concepts. The player and the coach agreed it was not a good fit but in no way did that mean he wasn't a good enough coach. Unless you, your son or somebody to where you have a valid reasoning for your thought has played for him, nobody should comment about their coaching ability. Most AAU teams have turnover, especially in middle school. Once you get a big name or two to commit to play others will follow either by friendship or wanting to win. Premier will now have their same players but that check mark and sponsorship will likely also bring other "high tier" players to the program.

If he is coming back tired then maybe they are trying to discourage him from going home on Monday's. The coaches might realize he is a freshman coming early to get out first, but typically freshman do not get priority in any situation (just a thought there but don't actually know). I agree with what others say, it doesn't sound like his biggest priority during football season is football. Probably doesn't go over well with the coaches, especially if he is on a scholarship.

Right, SK/Ryle should be a good game down to the wire. Hopefully it will be a good test and push both prior to playoffs. I will be rooting for SK but Ryle is a good team. Rankings I believe SK is #1 but understand Ryle getting votes while both are the only 2 undefeated teams.

You seem to be taking this personally. Not all were blocks in the back but there were at least 2 obvious ones that were. The rule is also for player safety to be considered too. I said early, Campbell Co played great and deserved this win. It could very well be left at that but this is an open discussion regarding people's opinion on the game. The kid did look offsides, the pass that was run for 60 yards did look forward (but you are right, why did Summit View stop without a whistle).................no matter what Campbell Co outplayed Summit View.

#44 is healthy and looks great! I also saw a 4th and 1, I think it was in the 3rd quarter, the Campbell Co left guard fires out for false start that wasn't called. He was 2 yards down field about to hit the middle linebacker when the ball was snapped.

Campbell Co played a great game from beginning to end.

That's a shame, but as someone stated in a different thread, everybody is 0-0 come playoffs. I hope he is healed and back soon

Summit View won 13-6 over Newport yesterday. The field was a muddy swamp and both teams had multiple fumbes through the game. Newport was winning 0-6 going into the 4th.

Turkeyfoot has lot their QB for the season now and #22 didn't play, who is their big playmaker.

Just let the kids play. To me, and just my opinion, Freshman ball is all about getting ready for Varsity/JV and why there isn't a tournament at the end of the season. There obviously would have to be some integrity involved with Froshmore teams but it is about kids developing into high school players. Being that "Froshmore" teams are known about and common for smaller schools, it shouldn't have been brought up because SK lost to Scott. Congrats to the Eagles on the win.

Is #44 back from injury? I know they have had a hard time with him out. Good team that could make a push if he is back healthy.
